Very friendly bartender! He heard us talking about the different types and gave us samples to try out with a bit of explanation for each. ALL of them were delicious and we could’ve easily drank a pint of all of them. I even joked to my husband, soooo are we spending all afternoon here?! 😁 In the end, we chose 2 to enjoy: Porch King and their smoothie beer (sorry forgot the name). This place needs to be on the top of everyone’s list of breweries to try in Portland.
I’ve been impressed with Threshold since my first visit over 3 years ago, and it continues to be one of my favorite breweries in Portland! I used to refer them as a hidden gem, but having watched them grow for several years, it has become clear the secret is out! They have a wide beer selection full of creativity, and it is clear everything is brewed with a passion for the craft. And while there are plenty of great beers in Portland, the sense of community is really what sets Threshold apart from the rest. A super friendly staff that has always gone above and beyond, and has attracted a real great group of patrons to raise a glass with! I look forward to many more tasty brews, and continuing to watch them excel…and my pup looks forward to more treats (which she now expects the second she enters the building). Cheers to the team, you all rock!
Great atmosphere. The team working the brewery was fun, kind, and knowledgeable. It is so refreshing to have servers who are passionate about beer and care. The place is immaculately clean. Great selection of their beer and guest taps. Also have gluten free selections.
Great little brewpub with a decent assortment of really good beers. Airy with a nice ambiance and pleasant service. You can bring in your own food or order food at the counter. Beer flights are reasonably priced.
This place has very unique kinds of beer in comparison with most of the local breweries. When I went in they had several high alcohol brews that were delicious, perfect for winter and more like dessert beer. (If thats even a thing) GREAT place for darker stronger brews. However, I was a fan of their Barrel aged Grisette, its an absolute winner. They are super kid friendly with a huge chalk board wall and toys. This might or might not be a deterrent for you so fair warning.
Nice selection of beers and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and the five beers and one cider we tried were all enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin Pie Sour Ale and my wife really liked the Green Prophecies Hazy.
was stoked to finally check this place out.
very unique beer options on tap and all the beers are lovingly made — trust me, you can taste it.
staff is warm and friendly, the space is inviting, the beer is good and refreshing. how can you go wrong?!
Great spot to grab a beer! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor seating is also covered. The brewery is located on a designated green space so you don't need to worry about cars speeding by, plenty of bike parking right outside
Great brewery. Good beers. Fast and friendly service. Water station. Nicely decorated.
Good little start up! Each of their 5 beers is quite drinkable. I particularly enjoyed the grisette. If you are into experimental Californian complexity, this is not your kinda of place. Kid friendly, nice and casual, Crowley’s, swag, plenty of guest taps. Definitely will be back!
