Delicious Georgian/Eastern European food. First time trying this cuisine as there aren't many known restaurants that specialize in this food. The dumplings were delicious, recommend the mushroom and meat ones. They are made like soup dumplings, except much larger. The other dish we got was also delicious though very cheesy, so a good choice if you like a lot of cheese.
This is a nice quaint place that serves some traditional Georgian food. I traveled to Georgia this year and wanted to have some more of the traditional food when I came back to Portland. This place didn't disappoint. I loved the small atmosphere and the overall feel of the restaurant. The food was good and tasted very much like what you get in Georgia.
The only thing I disliked was the prices. In my opinion they were high but it wouldn't stop me from coming back. Just not as frequently.
Good Georgian authentic food. I’d say a very great tasting. Accompanied with with Batono Georgian semi sweet wine. Definitely would tell you to come hungry, and enjoy red adjika with your khinkali, or any food if you like a little spicy food. Definitely would advice this place for diversity of flavors.
I recently discovered this place, and I absolutely loved it. This cute little restaurant on Alberta featuring Georgian food is definitely worth visiting. The food was delicious and the service was good. The cutlery, curtains and decor add to the homey vibe. The Acharuli Kachapuri was amazing, and not like anything I have tried before. The bread was perfectly baked, and the cheese and egg combination perfect. I would also recommend their Lamb dumplings.
Tasty Georgian style (formerly Soviet) ethnic dishes. Savory mild flavors typical of that area. Dumplings are the featured menu items. What raises this from a 3-star rating is the assortment of Georgian wines they serve, and that they offer wine flights (Georgian wines are quite good).
Food: 4 stars
Wine: 5 stars (for that region)
Ambiance: 2 stars
Very small restaurant with limited seating and counter-only service. Reasonable prices (for Portland - not Georgia).
First time trying Georgian food everything was delicious! We had the khinkali (beef and pork soup dumpling) and the khachapuri. Try the Wine flight so you can experience three different Georgian wines.
Small homey place. The egg pizza was fun and tasty, especially with the sauce sampler. Recommend the sample plate to try many of the flavors.
So delicious!! The food was comforting in that perfectly simplistic sort of way. And if you can eat it, you can't go wrong with cheese and bread! The place was super cute and the staff was very welcoming! Loved it! Can't wait to go back!
Adorable little restaurant and the food is delicious!!! These are the mushroom dumplings. The filling is one of the best things I've had in awhile. They are vegan too (which I am not). I had the cheese bread boat as well. I ate it before I could snap picture! FYI- They don't have highchairs in the restaurant.
Really rich amazing food! Fun to go with a friend and get 2 plates to share with each other so you both can try 2 things. The size of the restaurant made it cozy. Love that its located on Alberta, east parking.
