Classic American Chinese. Taking you back in time with their authentic atmosphere and amazing food. This place could easily pass as that classic Christmas story Chinese restaurants. Staff were friendly, and food came out fast.
I have driven by in the past and see the parking lot slammed. I think the Royal Panda has been her for over 30 years.

Great food. Service was a tad slow, but only one person was on duty out front and there was a large party in the dining room, so that's to be expected. Building is older, but good atmosphere. Would certainly recommend coming here.

Had the salt and pepper calamari, loved the flavor, but it was tough. I've eaten there numerous times before, food is great and so is the service. I'll go back again.
Please put chairs outside for us smokers... I don't want to sit on a log that has spit on it ... Would you?
Came here for an early dinner, restaurant was outdated but clean and the waitress was very friendly. The tea was great! The restaurant was very quiet so my husband and I felt a little weird talking because everyone could hear us so we found ourselves whispering. We ordered crab puffs to start, the price was a little expensive in my opinion (you only get 6 crab puffs for over $6). I ordered Mongolian beef and my husband had the spicy orange chicken (i have a low tolerance and it wasn't spicy to me). Both meals were good, but we weren't blown away. Pretty standard chinese food, overall I felt the prices were a little high so we will probabaly go to a different restaurant in the future but I dont have anything negative to say.
The service was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing! I had a great meal.

I have been looking at the reviews of Royal Panda and I was a liitle shocked that there are a lot of bad reviews. I understand people have different views. We have been eating at Royal Panda for over 20 years. We know the owners and they have been friendly and gracious for all those years. I'm surprised I have never given a review about their food.
We no longer live in the Portland area. We have not had any food from Panda since we left 6 years ago. I still have family in the area so we decided to take out. It's a little harder now with little grandkids to eat at their restaurant.
I love the Chicken and Broccoli. Thinly sliced white meat chicken with of course Broccoli. The white sauce that it comes with is just fantastic. Make the dish so flavorful. The white sticky rice ties the whole dish together.
My wife has Fried Bean Curd ( Tofu) with veggies. You can get it as spicy as you like. Another great dish even if it is vegetarian.
We also had Chicken with String Beans. The String Beans were a little too salty.
Hope to have more visits when we are back in town.
Royal Panda is our family’s number one choice for excellent Chinese cuisine. Very professional, classy, and all staff have excellent people skills.
I would definitely recommend Royal Panda for any occasion . And especially the bar, Happy hours , well drinks.
