Came here today, November 30th 2022, to check out this tiny park in the greater Portland area and to my delight the leaves were gorgeous. The golden carpet of leaves on the ground, the wetness making everything glisten with vibrancy…..glorious. I was so lucky with the vibrant blue skies in between the downpours of rain today. What a cool little park and those trees are they Redwoods or Sequoia’s? Thank you Portland.
This park was quiet at sunrise on a weekend morning. There are plenty of benches and large mature trees along the paths criss-crossing this one-square-block urban park.
There are some indications of drug use but the park is clean, thanks in part to a local I see who is walking the entire park picking up trash.
3 person tables are scattered throughout. The sod is quite soft even though it has not rained in a few days. A few sculptures accent the central area where the ping pong tables and spray park water feature is.
This park is fine. I took my dog for a walk here at night before bed tho and here were dozens of huge rats running around. She kept trying to chase them I was scared she'd catch a disease so I picked her up. The park is much nicer during the day when the rats are in hiding.
Beautiful place to gather and very peaceful, many different types of people sleeping or visiting in the park. God is pouring Himself out to open eyes and save the lost, so thankful I was lost but now am found. Truth isn't that elusive if to you are open to what you don't want to hear it turns out lol 🙃
😏Cool spot with a conveniently located convenience store located?...🤔... wait for it...💬...💭... Conveniently across the street from the max station which is right here, as well as the loyd center across the street on the other side & Denny's & several other local hotspots only a block or 2 away!!!😌
We had so much fun at the park today. Thank you so much for everybody to join and have fun on a hot day like today. We will be definitely coming back everyday is the next couple of weeks for sure. It's located right next to the mall. We were there for over 3 hours.
I totally like it. I love the trees & the shade. Cool park indeed. It could be like a sanctuary in the city.
Yet, largely unsafe. A young man came up behind me on an electric scooter (sidewalk) & abruptly thrust me to the pavement face forward. I’m 65 and it was a bloody injury. He had a small gang with him. I made my way back to the Max train limping, in tears. I wish I could walk through there & enjoy the park, but just too risky.
The police are understaffed. Unfortunately laws can’t be enforced, therefore safety cannot be insured.
Praying for this city as well as this world we live in.
Electric scooters are not to be on busy pedestrian sidewalks. Other illegal activities going on as well.
I did not stay here I just took a video of the cute little birdies taking a bath
Nice park. Walkable to decent food. Pleasant place to sit and contemplate. Cannot comment on restrooms or accessibility
As someone who knows from lived experience the difficulties of being homeless.. having those fountains run at night is a blessing to soo many people that don't have a place to shower or wash clothes.
