Javier's is our LOCAL Mexican food drive thru though they have a dining room as well.
Javier's has never failed to present good hearty tasty food in a timely manner that tastes good and fills you up. Portions are more than generous.
Javier's menu is varied and offers typical fare one expects, like tacos, enchilada, etc., as well as succulent looking shrimp cocktails and more.
Javiers is a family place and is, in better times, always full. Wait staff could be friendlier, however, the place is always jumping so they probably are run off their feet.
Give Javier's a try...you may just find your new Local!
Yum!! Everything I missed about living in Mexico. My husband ate this elusive sandwich when he was little and had been searching for it for years... I guess we'll have to find something new to search for!! True Mexican food that really hits the spot.
Dirty but quick, especially at 2:30AM. Just keep your eyes moving to prevent yourself from focusing on anything in particular and you'll be ok.
I have them on speed dial . Great food with huge portions. The best part is it's open 24 hours. Great late night on a tipsy one . The nachos are my favorite and the breakfast burrito . Sweet staff very busy. I usually take out but the interior looks alright. Not in the least bit fancy
Cheap, understated, yet fantastic!. This is the real deal folks... Nothing fancy, basic booths, somewhat funky neighborhood, and some of the BEST Mexican food you can find anywhere in Portland.

It is the whole in the wall type of place! Good food, but not the best looking place. They are super fast and when you ask for no onions, there are no onions. Been going here for 9 years now and it is very consistent. My husband is Mexican and it is Mexican approved! :-). 24 hours too! They have great breakfast burritos too!
This is my first time here. My order included 2 beef tamales, rice and refried beans. I'm from Texas and this meal was just like being back in Texas. It was very good, I recommend it to anybody. Plus this place is open 24 hours seven days a week. Great restaurant.
The food is definitely good and ready fast. And I love that they're open 24 hours. Because when you want tacos, you don't want to wait for some place to be open.

The food was fine (cactus breakfast burrito). The food was prepared quickly and was hot (temperature-wise). The menu has a lot of options so we’ll be back to check out their other fare.
The person at the register was courteous. We exchanged pleasantries but early in the AM, I can understand both of us still waking up to the day.
Love that I can pre-order and it is really there when I get there. I've been to others who take my order but won't prepare it cause they're afraid that I won't show up. Great food and friendly service.
Always on point! Prices, portions, and flavor are amazing! I've gotten tacos and burritos. Today I tried the adobada taco, an it is my new favorite meat. The tacos are huge!
Adobada was described to me as "a spicy pork" it did not miss, I'm already wanting more!
I really liked it. I just visited. I've already been several times. Delicious, large portions and affordable prices. Friendly staff. I'll definitely visit again.
I have been coming here's for years every now and then usually when it's super late or for drunk food. The only thing I really order that's delicious every time is the pollo asada plate.
Best hood Mexican spot. Been around for years. Always good. This restaurant is really one that has grown from the hood showin love. It use to be only browns and blacks eating now even the white people are in there at 3am after the club. Its just an awesome place. This place as been around so long. Man if those walls could talk. The one of best Mexican food spots in NE.
Local spot, always open, quick, hot, delicious. Fancy, no. Exactly what you need, yes. Adobada burrito is my favorite. Can't go wrong with any of the breakfast burritos! The staff is great as well
