Pho Yeah!. This place is awesome. I've yet to have a bad meal here. Great, flavorful, well-executed pho with plenty of options. Also there's some sort of cashew chicken app that is very much worth getting. twice.

Great Pho. Great vege Pho, and though I am sure it was beef broth, this is not a concern for me. I just have a preference for vege Pho. Service is meh, not good not bad. Girls that were working were nice, but not all that on top of it.
The peanut sauce with the salad rolls is awesome.

Full of Pho-lavor. Yes, the decor is slightly bewildering (carnival masks and roman pillars?!) as is whats usually coming through the speakers; a muzak version of the soundtrack to twin peaks (?), but I can live with these things because the pho here is very good. I usually have the Pho Tai (thinly sliced beef) and while there could stand to be a bit more beef, cut a little thicker, the quality of the veggies and other ingredients are top notch, with delicious flavors brimming from every spoonful. This kind of food cant be beat on a gloomy day. The fresh spring roll are delicious as well.
I havent had Pho anywhere else in Portland because to be honest I dont really feel the need, as every meal we've had from here has been a gem and with them being just a block from my home I'm quite content to stick with these guys until that changes. Hopefully it never does.
Grade: B+ (after all these years, the 'grand opening' banner out front deserves to be retired)
Update 10/27/12
Well, I just finished having lunch at Pho An Sandy and must say that their Pho easily trumps Pho Gias. The meat there is more plentiful and cut slightly thicker, and they bring you more of a variety of garnishes and sauces. Still, Pho Gia is nothing to stake a stick at and Im sure theyll still see us once in a while.

In the Neighborhood. This place is AWESOME. We live in the neighborhood and eat at Pho Gia every chance we get. Try their green curry with fresh pineapple! I also love the pho. We are big fans. The family who owns the restaurant is always so friendly. And they are so gracious when I have special requests.

Conflicted. This place used to be my favorite pho place, but tonight I found out that their "vegetarian" options are not vegetarian. We went there twice recently and had the vegetarian pho which has a leaf next to it that symbolizes "vegetarian option." This time I was skeptical because of the post warning vegetarians below, but after re-reading the menu I felt confident that the vegetarian options were clearly marked as vegetarian. I ordered the veggie pho and it was clearly beef broth. It was NOT the same broth we had had the past two times eating there. We asked the waiter if it was beef and he said it was. He brought out some soup with vegetarian broth for our friend who wanted it and it was miso soup, not pho. Definitely not the "vegetarian five spice broth" that was listed on the menu. I have lost my faith in the restaurant. This sort of inconsiderate mislabeling is unacceptable.

Chicken pho for the soul. One day while driving home from work i came across a little pho restaurant called Pho Gia, it being close to my work i decided to go there for lunch the next day. I ordered a "pho ga" and it was delicious, slices of white meat chicken surrounded by chopped cilantro and onions bathed in a savory beef broth emitting an aroma that would send any pho lover into ecstasy. I gobbled it down, sitting in the restaurant a little while longer feeling the warmth of the soup in my stomach. I love Pho Gia's "pho ga."

Great place, please go and support them!. I ate there with my partner, we both had Pho with beef, a dish we have tried many places in Portland and around the world and Pho Gia was great! We also had some lovely fresh rice paper rolls to start.

We showed up at 10pm on a Saturday night and we were served by a super friendly, warm hearted man who made us both feel well. The whole meal was $17 minus tip for the two of us, we were fed and happy. What more could you want? Go there, at least once and support this relatively new business that is doing a great job.

Had an incredible experience at Pho Gia in Portland! Exceptional service and mouthwatering food. The crispy veggie rolls were a delight—light, crispy exterior with perfectly seasoned filling. Paired them with sweet and sour sauce and fresh veggies for a delightful combo. As for the pho, both the steak and flank, and steak with tripe were outstanding. The broth was delicious, meat tender, and vermicelli noodles just right. Prompt service made the evening even more enjoyable. Can't wait to return and support this local gem! #PhoGia #PortlandEats #SupportLocal

Food quality and price are pretty good for the area. No music at all. They have a sign that says 3.6% cash discount. I paid in cash. He tried to charge me 3.6% over the menu price. Which is double wrong as far as I'm concerned. Luckly I had exact change so it was super low conflict. Probably hassle free if you use a credit card. Hard to say.

This place is amazing! I have been trying different Pho spots around and this one is BY FAR the absolute best I have had in Portland. I will be coming back time and time again and can't wait to try more of their menu. Support local family businesses like this one when you can!

This place is a solid cuatro (4). I had the traditional chicken phõ. My taste buds were not blown away but were satisfied. The pho was a 7 outta 10. Fav part of the pho was it had plenty of noodles. I also had the pineapple fried rice and that was also good. 8 outta 10. The fact they offer friend Rice is a win. Would I come back? Yes. If the other place I reviewed last month was closed. Price is fair for the amount of food. Still would give it my seal of approval #gorditoapproved #fatboyapproved.

I had the best pho of my life here. I have been an avid consumer of Vietnamese cuisine in this fair city for 2 + decades, and I don’t make this claim lightly. Also, the woman who works the register is such a kind and lovely person.

They had me at 15-spice broth. The best veggie pho I’ve ever had hands down. Finished everything down to the last drop, even the spicy jalapeños! The management is very hospitable. 10/10 would recommend.

This is literally the first review I've ever done, positive or negative--but this food was SO good I had to. I got the pho steak and right when it was brought to my table the smell of the broth was incredible. My girlfriend got the vermicelli. Both were great. She said it was the best pho she's ever had and I can easily say the same. Definitely now our official pho spot! The server was super sweet and friendly but in a simple and understated way...great service and atmosphere. And, the coconut and the leeche boba teas are just as good as the rest of the place. You will not regret going here. Pinky promise.

The food is okay. Not the best vietnamese food I've had before, but I would go back. Great and friendly service. It was cold the last time I went so not something I like but that is me.

So good!! Haven’t gotten one bad thing yet! Usually order two entrees just for myself and take home the leftovers because I can never choose between which tasty food I want.
