Love Anestis and his family. Make sure you hit this spot if your from out of town but staying #DownTownPDX, it's a $5 #UberRide, MarathonTaverna has super cheap drinks and food is wonderful but hella cheap$ too yo!

Marathon Taverna was a good pit stop for a late night bite. The service was prompt and the food was tasty. I got one of their gyros and fries and it hit the spot! They had a community popcorn machine and the popcorn was also up to par. Would definitely recommend this place. Sadly there was a conceited patron sitting next to me at the bar, the food was good enough for me to tune her out; that is until her friend came and started hitting on me. Although slightly off putting, I got through the meal with my brain cells intact.
Such a great Portland staple! Lots of TVs, seating, and pool tables. Every time we go there is great service and the food is really good! It’s usually a pre and post game bar for the Thorns and Timbers so it’s a great bar and atmosphere to check out on game days.
I have been coming in here off and on since I moved to this area. Never had any problems, food is good, enough space to not feel crowded. And the last visit was cool. You definitely want to be there when Lisa is working. She is awesome!

I love this little bar. The location brings a mixed bag of folks however, the majority of them are I would say chic hip or very sports friendly. The bartenders are fun as well as the bouncer or security guy at the door. They will banter with you whether you're alone or not and you will love it! I have never had the food here.
FINALLY I found a bar in Portland that has a great atmosphere, Good beer, and the food is not so utterly overpriced that getting a basket of fries means I have to take out a mortgage top marks for this place you need to check it out!
Solid local sports bar with friendly staff. A very popular and solid place to catch a game or play video poker. Countless TV's, a couple pool tables, cheap well drinks all day long, a special price on Rolling Rock mini pitchers, plus decent food at a fair rate.
Get the Rodeo Burger. It's awesome. Better than average crinkle-cut fries as well.
Tasty and very affordable breakfast. Fun dive bar with plenty of beers on tap, and pool tables. The crowd can be a bit rough at times, and the pours are average for mixed drinks.
But overall a great place to meet friends, particularly large groups with all the space for seating they offer.
Nice little dive. Pleasant bartenders. The bouncer didn't insert himself too much. All around good times
This is a great spot to catch the big game. The staff was really friendly and the burger was delicious. Pictured is the Rodeo Burger. I will return soon.
Super crowded but the gyros are HUGE, delicious, and the cheapest in town. Can't beat 6 bucks for a gyro the size of a Chipotle burrito during timbers game times. Otherwise it's only a buck more. Good place to meet competitive pool players and nice video poker lair.
