If they toasted the bread and added a bit more steak these would easily be the best cheese steak sandwich in Portland! I’ve had 20+ cheese steaks in Portland and crazy enough Steakadelphia and Jersey Mikes are battling for the top spot!
Love this place. Definitely going back for more. A friend of mine from Philadelphia said this is the real deal. Small parking lot. Small seating area. Part of what makes it so appealing.
The last few times I’ve been here the music is so loud you have to yell your order. They messed up my order because they couldn’t hear me. I’ll change it back to 5 stars when get the order correct is more important than rocking out.
Other than that…
Really authentic Philly. Best I've had on this coast! If you're a cheesesteak fan and want to know how it's done, or if you moved out here from Philadelphia and need a taste of home, this is where you should come.
35 years ago I lived in West Chester PA. I have had 35 years of disappointment. I got excited hearing them cook. You can hear a good cheese stake being made! It was great, I will be going back
My God. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Ever. The food is absolutely amazing! And it’s really quite affordable. Listen… you have had a long work day. You deserve happiness. This will make you feel like everything is right with the world (WHILE you are eating it, lol)!
We have been wanting to go here for awhile. We went at 5:30pm on a Friday night. It was very busy with take out orders so we had a 20 minute wait for food. Staff was upfront about wait time before we placed the order and very friendly. I got the Rough Rider and hubby got the Cheesesteak, the sandwiches were delicious and well worth the wait. We for sure will be going back again and again.
Sandwiches are very tasty. Lots of good toppings to choose from. The bread holds together really well. I will ask for no red sauce next time. Service is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

The small is pretty big especially with toppings. The large filled my teenage son up(miracle). The vanilla shake was perfect for a hot summer evening. Well worth the money. Staff was friendly and helpful as it was a first time.. Beaverton location
Best cheesesteak in town! Lots of options, sandwiches are absolutely delicious, service is relatively quick, prices are reasonable. I love supporting a black owned business, and this one is by far one of the best!
This has been my favorite cheesesteak shop in Portland for many years. I usually order the 12” cheesesteak with white American cheese (creamy) and add tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet peppers, mild peppers, bell peppers and pineapple. It’s a fantastic blend. And the extra toppings are free! I often get it as an 12” XL which gets you more meat and double cheese. Then it’s large enough for me and my wife to split along with fries. But even just getting a beef cheesesteak with white American and onions is excellent. The bread is from Philly and the meat is chopped up ribeye - just like they do in Philly. Some folks prefer Grant’s cheesesteaks but I think Steakadelphia is #1 and I highly recommend them! The burgers and fries are also really good.
