Went here for my 40th birthday. We had the gumbo, raw oysters (amazing!!!), turtle soup, goat cheese and crawfish croquettes. Everything was awesome and so full of flavor. I am super sensitive to spice and everything was pretty hot for me, but if you can handle a little bit of spice the flavor profiles and deep and luxurious.
We have oysters and champagne every year for my birthday, last night we went here. Daniel was our waiter and excelled. Even went as far as to tell us a party of 12 was coming in so not to wait to long to order our favorite oysters as they might be gone. We put in our order for a dozen kumamotos for desert when we ordered our dinner, which was a mix from their mac & cheese to (died and gone to heaven) fried chicken. AMAZING! 4 dozen oysters, 2 bottles of champagne and great food to boot. Love, loved this place!
Came here for a pre Thanksgiving with the family and it didn’t disappoint. First the service was great, and the food was amazing. The oysters were really fresh and sweet and all the food they served had the right New Orleans style flavors from the clams, frog legs, gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya, and the Mac n cheese that we kept craving for after we left… definitely we will come back for more…
This place is highly recommended.
Great selection of oysters and Cajun dishes! We enjoyed a dozen oysters, which included three varieties of Washington (Puget Sound) oysters, each with distinct flavors. Their menu is reasonably priced. Their dark pilsner on draft paired well with the oysters, and the croquettes were quite good too. Staff is friendly and they have outdoor seating. We’ll be back!
Great service, great drinks (try the summer sidecar!), great oysters, great food period. Our bill was so incredibly reasonable even with three drinks and multiple apps and a dozen oysters! The hushpuppies were the hit of the table. Will be back.
Best hole in the wall fresh yet divy! I always sit at the bar. Fun to go alone or with a close group. The service is old school genuine and low brow swaggy. I always get oysters and pickle chips, sometimes the croquettes. I’ve been going here for years, it’s one of my favorites. But don’t tell any publications.. it’ll ruin it if I have to wait to sit at the bar 😉
You can get fresh Oysters at reasonable price. If you are oyster lover try this place.
An oyster staple of Portland. I've been going here since 2016. Luckily the pandemic did not kill it. They have high quality oysters and they do their best to offer the best prices they can given the market. They want to serve the highest quality as affordably as they can.
Come stop by for a dozen oysters and if you want some hearty Cajun food they do that well too.
A delightful place! We had an oyster platter, a catfish sandwich, a biscuit, and a couple of drinks. Everything was excellent, the drinks were strong but not excessively so, and the staff were lovely to talk to. We stopped in on impulse and would definitely come back.
Truly an amazing Portland experience. Blackened catfish was delicious and oysters were even better. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will be back here 100%
They serve some heavy plates. Spice and seasoning is good and decent portions. Food came super fast too,
SO good and delicious! Caught them on a busy night celebrating their 15th anniversary with an oyster special so things were a little behind. But even in the madness, they were still super friendly and accommodating. Food was DELICIOUS! Oysters. Biscuits. Okra. Fries. ALL FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 Even got a cocktail which was yummy. Definitely coming back to check out more of the menu and highly recommend that you do too! Special shoutout to John, Nick and Evan for being rockstars.
