This restaurant, off 82nd in Lents, is a a real hole in the wall; the kind that serves up excellent food.

The front door is covered with awards and mentions from Yelp and the like.

I ordered the vermicelli with pork and spring rolls, a standard order for me at Pho places. This dish was unusually rich and flavorful. The pork fat coated the noodles and the bottom of the dish had a scoop full of extra rich broth. I usually find this dish too dry but here it seemed just right.

Friendly service. Parking lot in the back.

Friendly owners, the service is good, and the food is not only dank, but authentic. The place looks ghetto, so that's how you know it's good.

This is the best place to get some delicious Bun Bo Hue.. When I was eating there I always end up drinking all of the soup too! It's too good for words. Simply amazing.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The place was very clean, and the food was outstandingly delicious and awesome. I absolutely loved the Bún Tôm Thit Nuóng and Goi Cuón dishes. While the service was okay, the great prices made up for it. I would definitely recommend trying their mouthwatering dishes!

I am a die hard pho girl and I came here looking for something a little different. I got the bun bo hue and my Mom got the bun bo xao. I loved both....a lot! If you are a pho lover and have not yet tried bun bo hue you are missing out.

We had lunch here today and it was delicious and totally one of a kind. The #17 Bun Bo Hue To Bac Biet soup had so many different flavors in it, that only a person that eats a lot full flavor meal's would appreciate this soup. It was totally fulfilling, making your mouth water from all the delicious flavors. The #7 Com Da Biet was very good too..Meal was cooked to perfection and had a lot for flavors from everything that was on this dish.. The appetizer #2 Goi Cuon was good and refreshing. I would recommend people coming to try all the different types of dishes that they serve..

Authentic flavorful, and the gentleman makes his own spiced fish sauce which is amazing! I had the sliced pork vermicelli bun, which was perfect with lemongrass. We wish this restaurant were near us in Rainier Oregon... please move to Rainier! It's very safe here, and we will be at your restaurant every day! Also these are very nice people, please support their business. AAAAA+++++

An absolute MUST visit if you are in Portland and like Vietnamese noodle soup, especially Bun Bo Hue which obviously they specialize in! Very delicious and, as a Vietnamese myself having been to Hue, definitely the most authentic BBH I've ever had outside of Vietnam. The owners are incredibly friendly, and it really does feel like being treated like family whenever I'm back to visit every time I am in Portland. See you again! - Ash/Bảo (blue hair)

My friend really likes this place and comes here often. In fact, he frequents this place so often he doesn't even need to order anymore! He sits down and they bring him his order!! Talk about a creature of habit and familiarity! If he brings company then the staff will stop by the table and ask what everybody wants to eat... Not a very large venue, decent amount of seating. Open kitchen...sorta. You can definitely take a peek and see what the staff is doing. Parking can be a bit challenging, I don't remember a parking lot nearby, but we were able to find street parking right outside the restaurant...so the parking Gods were definitely smiling upon us that day! I wasn't too sure what to expect since Man Jose has some brilliant offerings in Viet cuisine. I gotta say after eating here, Bun Bo Hue is on par with anything in Man Jose ;-) 16. Bún bò Huế - 5/5 Good size bowl...some generous portions! Tasty broth and a different type of noodle...not familiar with the thicker noodles they used. Can't forget to mention the big old pieces of Pork Blood cubes...great meal for the Winter weather.

If you like Pho - you must try this: I was told that "Bun Bo Hue" is good, but my expectations were blown away. The broth was so DELICIOUS & SAVERY. I squeezed the lime, added all the veggies, and mixed everything... It was PERFECTION. All of the meats were TENDER and YUMMY. It was so satisfying that I emptied the bowl completely. This will be my go-to "Bun Bo Hue" destination (less than a 30-minute drive from Beaverton or Vancouver). 5-stars. If you are new to Vietnamese food - I suggest that you omit the congealed blood cube. They also serve many other traditional dishes, but "Bun Bo Hue" is their BEST SELLER. It did not disappoint. 5-stars is no exaggeration... The building & decore were not fancy, but the FOOD was AMAZING. Additionally, the fish sauce is for dipping only!

This location seems a little sketchy by the picture. But it only looks that way because of its outward look. But what is that old saying? Do not judge a book by its cover. It definitely applies to this Vietnamese restaurant in Portland. It doesn't look that great on the outside. But the family that runs the place is definitely very warm and friendly. They don't have an awesome interior. It's pretty bland and they didn't take a lot of time thinking about decor and presence or feel of the restaurant. But the food more than makes up for it. The staff is basically family here. It's a family run business. And they are super friendly, respectful and kind. Their English not so great. But understandable. Their kindness more than makes up for their lack of English. In terms of pricing - it is decent and definitely not expensive. The location is a little farther out. Still within Portland of course, but it's more south Portland. Definitely not in downtown area. Definitely recommended to come and try!
