Nice, izakaya style restaurant with tons of sushi options. The service was great and the food came out quickly. The flavors and quality of the sushi was on par for Portland. That is decent, but nothing extraordinary. This is still the place to go if you need a quick sushi fix
If you’re looking for quality, consistency and deliciousness, this is the spot. I’ve hit most sushi places around town, this one takes the cake by a long run. There’s a reason why they’ve been around since ‘85. You will be so satisfied.
Wait wait, I actually got a few photos before I completed devoured my food. Definitely a great sushi spot. Located next to a Plaid Pantry on 104th/Holgate. Wednesday night they have 20%/25% off some of the sushi and roll options. Had order of Maguro that was soooo good. Nice big pieces, easily sharable portion. Have been here a few times when I get my sushi craving and it doesn't disappoint. Go check them out. They open at 5pm, and fill up pretty quick...Domo Arigato!!!
What a wonderful little gem this place is! Wasn’t expecting it to be as spacious as it turned out to be and that was the bonus for the evening! With a great selection of entrees to choose from and service that went above and beyond., what a wonderful dining experience it turned to be! Service ✅ Food ✅Atmosphere ✅. Great selection and good sushi, nothing was excellent other than the caterpillar roll and snitake tempura but it was all a great value. I went to try the tempura here more than anything. The Sweet potato tempura was actually regular potato and the tempura and sauce together were a little bland otherwise I'd max out this review. The mushrooms were delicious and fresh! The best atmosphere here is not at the sushi bar unfortunately, but it's great throughout the roomy space.
Wonderful dishes, the fish is extremely good quality. I hadn't visited before but now it's my #1 sushi spot. Definitely a tad pricey but worth every single penny. I'm so glad I discovered this gem so close to my house. I'm slowly making my way through all the menu. Definitely just visit at least once, and try their seared salmon.
I love Takahashi. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The sushi is always delicious and freshly made. If you’re looking for something really spicy try the the jalapeño roll. I was not expecting that much kick but it was pleasantly surprised. My taste buds were on fire but it was so so good. Highly recommend.
Excited to find sushi. We just moved near the neighborhood and was happy to find a sushi place. Good selection. Try it out. Fyi the spicy tuna is very spicy lol
Our party of two sat at the bar to watch the chefs prep sushi. The menu is extensive! As first-timers, we ordered a bit of everything. All the food came out fresh, at the right temperature, and tasty! Our waiter checked in with us often. We look forward to coming back!
Pro tip: On Wednesdays, most sushi is 25% off. It's 20% off all other days.
Nice cozy atmosphere, love the decor and booth seating. Very fresh fish, and light tempura that you can individually order—but very generous sizes on tempura too so don’t go overboard like I did! A nice kid’s plate with good variety was perfect for ours to share.
