This establishment exudes a charming old Indian dhaba ambiance with a delightful, positive atmosphere. While the Indian chai didn't quite meet our expectations, the samosas and dahi vadas were truly enjoyable. The server's politeness added to the experience, and the clay utensils complemented the overall aesthetic. Consideration for a slight expansion could enhance the capacity. The decorative touches, such as kettle and piggy bank motifs, added a touch of whimsy that we appreciated.

Relaxing atmosphere with water displays in the background, low lighting, plenty of tea options to choose from. There's a little section in the menu for light food options and desserts. There are about 8 tables so we had to wait a bit before being seated. They also have a tea store (in a separated area).

Lovely tea place. Food I would day 4 stars : good vegan/vegetarian variety, but wouldn't go there for food. The tea experience is amazing. For tea 5+ stars Best tea in terms of quality, selection, and pricing. You can enjoy gaiwan style tea and the servers will tell you steep times (I'd recommend looking at YouTube on how to to gaiwan if it's your first time). Everything is authentic from the chai to the matcha. You have to flag down your server for a check or extras. (They will check in to add hot water though). I think that's actually a good thing because with tea you don't necessarily want to be checked interrupted often by a server.

Was in the mood for tea and Google showed me this place. And so I pulled up. I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming and the tea is amazing! I wanted something sweet and strong and settled for the 500 Mile Chai with Indian jaggery and oat milk. Such a great combo. I would love to come again next time I visit Portland!

Cozy vibe. The genmaicha, which I typically LOVE, was a bit bitter but there are so many tea options. If you go back repeatedly you will surely find a favorite. I liked the popular home style dal but the Chana chaval was a little too spicy. The best dish was the crisped-to-perfection aloo paratha

As a tourist in the Hawthorne / Belmont district I chanced upon this tea room. Went inside and the hostess / waitress offered us the extensive tea menu which also had some very diverse food options. We tried a couple of varieties of their tea and loved the quality, presentation and service. The staff made the experience so much better as the waitress in particular was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Strongly recommend

This place is now my new favourite place in Portland! The server was super kind and passionate, she complimented me atleast three times. When I ordered my food, they said: "what a graceful combination!" And so forth. They treated me with so much tenderness, I felt so happy. It was so heartwarming to talk to them. They have many varieties of tea, I ordered the white peony tea and it came with a really beautiful teaset, can't wait to try more of their tea! The food has a strong taste that goes well with the tea. I sat next to the door and everyone would say something like 'This place is absolutely amazing' while walking out. This teahouse deserves all the compliments it has received. The atmosphere should be rated 6 stars out of five. I walked in and heard this hysterical laugh and felt affected by it. People sitting in this restaurant is so happy, they would chat and laugh, with the background sound of water flowing through (didn't figure out where it came from!). They played very very peaceful ancient Chinese music and all of these sounds happening at once made me feel like I'm listening to asmr/white noise. Will definitely revisit this place, perhaps even tommorow!

I've been to all of the tea houses in Portland, and this is by far the best. The atmosphere feels like a traditional tea house, very inviting, quiet, with authentic decor. The tea is consistently incredible, and all of the staff make great recommendations. This place is great not only for the tea connesouir, but the tea beginner as well. If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out!

What a gem! Vegans need not worry, most of the items are vegetarian or vegan. Everything was terrific. I ordered the Chinese Bao, steamed buns with Asian greens. with soy ginger sauce and asazuke, and the vegetable dumplings. Both were delicious, I paired this with the 500 Mile Chai tea with oat milk. Highly recommended.

Most delightful staff and atmosphere. Best tea house I've been to in Portland. Couldn't recommend them more!! This particular location has a sister store next door where they sell brewing materials and bulk teas!!
