If you know, you know. This place is a Portland staple. Great beer, awesome food and fantastic service. It’s a real Portland place. I don’t think the out of towners have found it yet. Do yourself a favor. Make a trip here.
It is a great place to chill. Staff are friendly and the food is good. The last time I was there only 1 person was tending the bar, however he served our food in a timely manner. I have no complaints!
Super relaxed neighborhood hangout for comfort food, where you can be sure to find a beer to your liking-they have so many choices it's hard to decide- and if someone in your party doesn't like sushi (can't imagine why not) you can take them here and you can have sushi brought over from Miyamoto -everyone's good.
I love this place! Great place for food and a great good menu, chicken and waffles are super delicious and the sloppy fries. You can also order sushi from Miyamoto after 4pm.
Very cozy local bar. LOTS of seating. Menu has classic southern foods like gumbo and jambalaya, fried foods, salads, sandwiches and lots of sides. Options options options. Including the sushi place next door!! They have a live update of beers on tap written on their walls. Basically. Love this place. Moved to the neighborhood recently and it is our new frequent.
DYNAMITE DIVE
I love love love that you can go to a dive bar and get delicious sushi while also having everything a neighborhood dive bar has to offer.
The drinks are strong and the food is tasty. Be sure to come between 4-8 to have access to Miyamoto’s sushi menu.
Went for lunch. Awesomely friendly and professional service at the bar. Pour was OK and liquor prices were low to match.
And the food... I had a maple Dijon fried chicken poboy with bacon, I can't wait to try the buffalo bleu version!
Wonderful pub vibe inside. Nice low lighting, friendly service, and good food for a reasonable price. A hard to find these days in the growing trend of locations overpriced for their location. Sports on the flat screen, pool, and gaming as well. I had the cauliflower "wings" which were great and broken down and had the chicken strip basket. The flavor for the cauliflower was just the right amount of tang with the sauce blending into the blue cheese crumble. Breading on the chicken was unique, like a savory, flaky tempura with tender meat below. Fries are wonderfully seasoned. I also tried their jambalaya that a friend ordered. A lite smoky flavor mixed with the classic holy trinity of vegetables, Cajun seasoning and a pleasant oily heat that grows with every bite. I will have to come back and try the other offerings.
Hey this is a fun place to play pool. They’re even nice about breaking dollars for quarters. Also, I love alcohol slushies. All around good time.
Best tater tots I’ve ever had. Been eating them since that dish was put in my face by the cafeteria in 1995 Wesley Chapel Elementary NC. Probably popped thousands in my day.
Is it because we’re watching Titanic on the 110th anniversary of her sinking?
