Really enjoyed the sandwiches! I got the Sriracha mix-a-lot and appreciated the abundance of hot sauce. The sourdough bread is perfectly toasted and crisp and the fillings are plentiful. There isn't much seating, so we had to wait a bit before getting a table. The wait was a little bit long because of brunch time on a Friday morning, but it was worth it. Will come back again!

I'm not a huge fan of breakfast food or eggs, but the food here really blew my mind. My partner introduced me to this place while looking for breakfast, and I was a bit skeptical at first. However, their sandwiches are so tasty. They have a spicy aioli that compliments the proteins and bread so perfectly, and all their sauces seem great in general. The way they fry the egg is delicious with a special sort of seasoning to give it an extra oomph. And don't let me forget about the hash bites, like a higher quality version of those comfort potatoes you can get in the morning at McDonald's. The dipping sauce to accompany these hash browns works so well and is absolutely addicted. Never have I ever thought I'd have a breakfast sandwich on my mind hours after I ate it, but here I am. While the place is worth the prices and the wait, it isn't perfect. It's a bit cramped, especially on a busy morning, and you may have to sit in proximity to other people (which I don't personally enjoy as a germaphobe). The food can also take a while due to the busyness. The employees aren't exactly the friendliest, though it's understandable in this type of environment. Servings are a bit on the smaller side as well. Overall the atmosphere is cool though, nicely decorated and all the food options have creative names (as you can tell by the restaurant title). I am definitely wanting to come back to this place and I know my partner visits somewhat often.

Wow; this is a Portland must have! I am not a breakfast gal, but Fried Egg I’m in Love knocked my socks off. The crunch of the sourdough, the bite of the pesto, and the oozing of the egg weave a tapestry of delight. Even better, the pace of the kitchen matches the demand of the public. I will be thinking about this meal for a long time!

I was fortunate enough to have breakfast at Fried Egg I’m In Love on a recent trip to Portland with my brother. As one of his favorite breakfast spots in the city, I was excited to see what all the fuss was about. I was decidedly stunned by the yolk dripping goodness that was the Yolko Ono. The perfectly toasted sourdough holding a soft fried egg, sausage, and pesto. The textures and flavors made for absolute breakfast sandwich perfection. The Hash Bite reminded me of the classic McDonald’s hash brown with a nicely toasted texture and quality ingredients. Everything we had was exciting and original. Portland is lucky to have such a treasure as Fried Egg I’m In Love.

We’ve been to the food truck downtown and this one is just as delicious. Although idk why but it feels like the serving is a little bit smaller?? 🤷🏽‍♀️ still very delicious though! Totally recommend

we absolutely loved this place. it was a fabulous breakfast spot, and the sauce served with the hash browns was particularly smokey and delicious. the sandwiches were so cheesy that they would stretch cheese when you bite into them. the grapefruit sage mimosa was so good we went for another round. lovely experience all around

1st time here. Loved that the sandwiches are grilled. Had the Yolko Zeppelin and the Free-Range Against the Machine. On the Yolko Zeppelin the aioli was a bit too garlicky for a breakfast sandwich.

This was one of the first breakfast places I fell in love with here the first time I visited (2016), and I am beyond happy for them that they’ve expanded beyond the original food truck into a full storefront! The sandwiches here are always eggcelent! I really appreciate the meat substitutions available too - veggie sausage and turkey sausage are available for no extra charge, making it one of the more inclusive breakfast stops in the area. The location has also done well to retain the original vibe of eating next to the food truck. Free water is available, and they also sell some cute merchandise including tshirts, baby clothes, and their signature sauces! Cannot wait to keep coming back now that I’ve moved to the area!

Top tier breakfast sandwich 🥪 buttery, flavorful, filling and a perfect companion to wandering around Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Fried Egg I'm In Love in a fried egg breakfast sandwich restaurant in Portland, Oregon from founder, Jace Krause. It started as a food cart on April 1st, 2012, but since then, it has expanded to multiple locations around the city of Portland. We checked out the brick-and-mortar location on Hawthorne. There is free street parking nearby, and they have a few tables outside if you're dining with dogs. +Yolko Ono (toasted sourdough, fried egg, smashed sausage patty, and pesto) for $9.50 - This is Fried Egg I'm In Love's bestseller, but it tasted like a normal fried egg sandwich to me. I may need to try other sandwiches on their menu. - 4/5 Overall, Fried Egg I'm In Love was fun, but I would not go out of my way to come here again. The line can be pretty long to order from, and it's not worth the hassle.
