Great upscale Mexican restaurant. The service here was outstanding. Everyone here was attentive and very easy to talk to. The drinks and food were amazing, think Mexican comfort food. Everything is made from scratch, including the tortillas. If you sit at the bar, you can watch the chefs make your food, which is a real treat.
Definitely a place to get high quality food! Fresh veggies! You can sit and watch the kitchen from the bar. Good energy, looked like good boss in the kitchen who was passionate. Mike our server had wonderful suggestions for Vegan dishes.
Love this unassuming restaurant that delivers world class food and service. I had the scallops that were done to perfection and enchiladas with mole and green sauce. Everything is very high quality and fresh with layers and layers of flavor. The seasonal dessert of peach crisp and cinnamon ice cream was perfection. ❤️😋🥰
I had dinner at Nuestra Cocina, a tasty Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was amazing. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and it definitely set the tone for the rest of the meal.
One of the highlights of the restaurant was the open kitchen, where you could watch the chefs in action. It was such a treat to see the care and precision that went into each dish, and it really added to the overall experience. You could tell that the chefs were passionate about their craft, and it was reflected in the quality of the food.
The atmosphere at Nuestra Cocina was also fantastic, with a warm and inviting vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly, and they really went out of their way to make sure that we had a great experience.

While we were waiting we drank a couple of drinks. We wait about 25 minutes to get a table.
We ate chips and guacamole and elote as starters. As main plate we tried puntitas de Res and Carne Asada con frijoles borrachos and for dessert we tried crepes with cajeta. It was delicious.
Last night was my first time experiencing Nuestra Cocina.
Immediately entering the restaurant, we were greeted and felt welcomed by the amazing staff. We had a wonderful waiter who was very knowledgeable of the menu and specials. Appetizers were very impressive and we fell in love with the place before receiving our main courses.
The service the atmosphere, and food were top notch. Like I've eaten at a lot of wonderful Mexican restaurants before all over the country, but this is probably the best one I've eaten at in over 20 years.
We already recommended this place to friends and those close to us and we will certainty be coming back soon!
Very well may be the best Mexican Restaurant in Portland. We’ve been coming here since they opened on Division and even though we no longer live in Portland it’s the first place we go when we’re back in Portland. We were just thinking about it when we were there over the weekend and we must have eaten here over 100 times over the years.
It’s as good as it was the first day they opened. Always fresh and authentic and Spicy margarita is exceptional.

Amazing locally owned restaurant with incredible, authentic food. You can taste the passion, the love. Highly recommend this spot. You will not be disappointed! We enjoyed ordering a bunch of appetizers and trying all sorts of dishes!
Innovative & fabulous gourmet Mexican restaurant. This was our first visit & we'll be back!! Everything we tried (2 appetizers, 2 entries & 2 desserts) was amazing. Many flavors mixed perfectly, smoky, spicy, aromatic. Fun & unique margarita options. We all thought the portions were "just right".
And wait staff was interactive, helpful and always there for us. Fabulous team!!!
This is truly one of my favorite restaurants in portland. The chef, culinary team and staff truly open there doors with heart and hospitality.
I missed them during the pandemic closures and am happy to visit again.
