You know by now that I have high standards and Piazza Italia has not only met but exceeded those standards.
I ordered linguine that is like pastina (yum) only with prosciutto. If they softened the onions it would be even more delicious. Also, the bruschetta pomodoro needs a pinch of salt. But they’ll fix that, I’m certain. Because they are mindful about these things.
The wine list is extensive and well priced.
The bread is made in house and worth the money. The dessert isn’t made in house but still with the money. The espresso is perfect when pulled by Michele.
We will return to Portland so that we can eat again at this restaurant.
Amazing lil spot! Got the linguine in pink vodka sauce with shrimp and zucchini. Great flavor! The dessert was the star of the show though! A scoop of hazelnut gelato with an espresso shot on top and whip cream! Quality goodness! 😁🙏🏽✊🏽✌🏽
Looking for a last minute late night meal and we stumbled on this place. Was hoping for some pizza, but this place does not serve pizza. However, we were pleased with the pasta that we ordered. The food tasted authentic and fresh. We wanted to order the bruschetta appetizer, but because we arrived so late they were already out for the evening. The server we had was funny and a pleasure, but he was managing multiple tables, so the service was on the slower side. I would recommend this place, but make sure to arrive early so that you don’t miss out on any of the ingredients as they might run out. I would definitely eat here again. 👍🏼
The food was rather good but in need of a kick. Serves was very nice and the payed parking lot was petty Close. I got the La Burina which was good but lacking flavor. My hubby got the penne pasta with sausage and pork but he says he could taste the sausage but still liked his food.
If you’re thinking about coming here, do it!! This sweet little Italian restaurant has hole in the wall vibes and is decorated with a plethora of sports memorabilia.
They have an extensive wine collection. Oh my goodness the food was to die for. For all my gluten free people, they have gluten free lasagna, which we all know can be hard to find in a restaurant!!
Great old school Italian restaurant filled with delicious food and wine. Waiters are prompt but helpful. Great night out for a first date as it’s not too loud! The Bruschetta Monferrina is absolutely delectable if you like mushrooms!
Lovely ambience and the food is exquisite, the only problem I had was that we were sat at a table near the wine shelf and my partner was asked to stand up so the server could use his chair to grab a bottle from the shelf just as our food got put down. It took a little while for them to figure out which wine to grab so it was a little frustrating to sit and wait for my partner to be able to have his chair back to eat our food.
Let's start with. This place is AMAZING! Secondly make reservations! Finally arrive hungry. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in downtown pdx. Amazing flavors. Close to authentic as you can get. Absolutely great atmosphere to hangout and eat with friends and family. The menu is simple. Not cluttered with boring items. People tend to spend about an hour here. Service is down right amazing. You're treated as part of the family. We make it a point to come here and have dinner when we visit Portland. Truly amazing.
This place was great! No real atmosphere to speak of, but the food was far beyond what you get at most pasta places! The pasta was light and homemade and the sauce was not acidic or greasy- it was like my mom makes… only better! It made me feel like I was in Italy where the food is simple but so tasty and fresh! Definitely a place we’d return to!
The best food I have found in Portland. Such a cute place. Staff was very friendly. There is always a wait so be prepared but the wait is worth it. They have opened a bar next door where you can sit down and have a drink while
you wait for dinner. Food is SPECTACULAR.
