First visit to this restaurant on New Year’s Eve, with friends, after a hockey game. It’s located right across the street from Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport but none of us had ever stopped in. It seems to be little known but I hope it gets more exposure. The menu is small, with a few good choices but could expand with more patronage. We all had variations of fresh never frozen burgers and hand cut fries. They were delicious. The server was very attentive and helpful and the manager stopped to make sure everything was good with us. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I wanted to try their steak dinner but they were out of steaks.
This is one of those 70s or 80s small town burger bar places and everything is fresh and good. They make their own French fries. The French dip is quite good as mentioned by someone else. I had a black bean burger and it was quite nice. The rolls were fresh and so were the toppings and the salad my wife ordered. Very good overall.
The fries here were definitely the peak of the experience. Otherwise the drinks were standard fare; there was no specialty cocktail menu or draft list, so know what you want when you go.
Went for Tuesday night Trivia and had a pretty great time, even though it was pretty empty.
Only real complaint was that the men's bathroom smelled like a porto potty
New place still getting kinks worked out. I highly recommend the New York Strip. Great live music on Wednesday nights. Convenient location across street from airport with lots of parking.
One of my favorite places in town. Manager was super helpful and food was good. I also enjoyed the live music.
Great food and atmosphere. Really cool airplane theme. Food was very tasty and prices were very reasonable. Definitely will come here again.
My Man took me here for Prime Rib dinner that was sooo good. Then I WON big on the machine right next to him & him!!! It's a Night I'll cherish forever.......
