This is my Holy Grail of fried chicken. I usually get 2 thighs and fries. I've always had friendly service and it's clear they work hard. One of my complaints is kinda petty, but that they got rid of the tartar sauce in the pump and this stuff was amazing to dip fries in. They now have it in pre-packaged cups and it' has a totally different flavor, so it's not the same. The only other gripe I have is the price point. Eating there has become quite a bit more costly than it used to be (I'm thinking close to $30 for 2 thighs, an order of fish, and 2 drinks). But alas, this is common everywhere, so I just need to buck up and get used to it. 🤣
I love Chicken Coop. I grew up in this area and I wish they had these everywhere! It's much better Chicken than any other chicken places (Chick-fil-A, KFC, etc. ). It's small inside and nothing fancy at all. Most people do take out, but there is enough seating for the size of the restaurant. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and very juicy on the inside. The staff are wonderful. For take out you go in and order and then go sit in your car and they'll bring it out to you when it's ready.
They were very busy with their 75th year special. I put 3 for service because I ask for tarter sauce and never receive any. No biggy, just was disappointed. But it was worth the wait as usual. It is always worth it when we get out that way
Ever since I moved to North Carolina, I have missed Chicken Coop's battered cod and onion rings. I make it a point to get some every time I'm back north. This trip, they really stepped up their game! Improving on excellent is no small trick.
Not too many chicken coops left around. They have a great flavor and product. I hope they are able to stay in business. It would be a shame if that level of quality would go away
Super great food, great prices and the staff all seem like cool people. Definitely check them out for a quick lunch, you won't regret it.
Excellent service! My wife and I have been having a rough week and everyone there was friendly and fast at service. Chicken was delicious and we are glad that we finally were able to eat there. Prices were fair and we had full meal full of laughs.
Already planned with friends from Indiana to come here.
A little bit of kindness goes a long way now days.
The food was amazing! The price was high but that's everywhere you go now... They brought our food to our car also, good customer service is hard to find so I will be returning!
1st ever here or anywhere but this is the best chicken we have ever eaten!!!
