What a lovely experience! Very much dive-bar vibes with charming decor and great service! Our waitress was so kind and friendly. Food came out quickly and hot! The fried pickles are HUGE and you can tell the pickles are homemade. The burger was delicious too! Great beer prices as well.
A great spot for one drink or a whole meal. Bartenders are great and friendly, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. I’ve enjoyed all the various food I’ve had in my visits to boot.
This is a significant local spot. Indoor and outdoor dinning depending on weather. The large bar area has lobster 🦞 trap bouy markers hanging from the ceiling. A sports, news, entertainment bar area. A full bar with several beers on tap. If you ask for a Margarita 🍹 they will likely ask if you have a tequila preference and you'll have several choices straight out of Margaritaville even if it is over a thousand miles away. The ocean and light house 🏠 are just down the street and your table neighbors may be lobstermen, artists, small distillers, writers, retired CEOs or very senior judges who I refuse to identify.

I'm out of town from Colorado, have friends at Tenants Harbor so this was my first time eating here. Best fish tacos I ever had, atmosphere and the bar were awesome. The only reason this place didn't get five stars was because there was zero help and long wait times. My waitress was fantastic and super nice but you could tell she was super frustrated. I know she'll like the tips at the end of her day but we waited a very long time for our bill which was unacceptable. I know it's hard to find help, it's like that everywhere but adding one more person would have made the difference.
The food was great, burgers were really yummy, and the staff was friendly when they actually came around to table. If you can get here on an off season night or when they are not busy or they first open you will have a great time. I was there on a Thursday night at 7 and waited an hour and a half for food to come out to us. I know it is because of the current climate and lack of staff. I will go back but when it's not busy.
We came to the Black Harpoon at about 8:45pm hoping to get one drink before they closed the doors and was pleasantly surprised to see a band setting up! Any notion of barely making last call was settled there and we were treated to several hours of a good cover band and cold beer.
The bar area is a bit tight so they moved tables outside and people were dancing the night away. Very glad to see a nice bar hopping in this small port town!
I was hesitant because there were no reviews on here. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and there were only 2 couples eating, which made us apprehensive. The food was good. It wasn't write home to mom great, but it was good enough we would definitely go back. It was good to see the place fill up with families as we sat there with our 4 kids. The portions were very generous.
