Omg. 100000 Stars for the Crispy Box Choi. We all liked this place enough that we considered returning for dinner the next night as well. The vegetables were prepared perfectly and beyond delicious. The Sushi was incredibly fresh. Highly recommend the Spicy Tuna and the Jalapeño Whitefish. Will absolutely be returning when next in Ft. Lauderdale.
This was my first visit and my only disappointment was in not knowing about the place sooner.
We had a wonderful server who was attentive without being overly so. There is a great selection of dishes and sushi. Everything I tried was delicious.
Update: It's been a year since I ate at Yakuza Modern Japanese and Thai and I could kick myself for waiting so long to return. The mixed mushroom soup was amazingly delicious. The spicy chili garlic edamame was perfectly seasoned, not too spicy and the sushi was fresh. Couldn't leave without trying the fried bananas for dessert. Yum!
Excellent! Everything was excellent. Even the pickiest in our group of six was very well pleased. Requested a stir fry veggie with shrimp with no flour or corn starch. It was done perfectly. The very best I've had anywhere for veggie and shrimp stirfry lightly seasoned. Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Veggies done just right and excellent, excellent flavor. Sushi was excellent, as was the sashimi and Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. The sauce was not overpowering, but just right. Fried smelts we're soooooo yummy! Edamame with spicy garlic was ok but regular steamed edamame with sea salt was better. A very nice dining experience in a nice setting. Server was also very good. A polite, professional young man who was very attentive and made very good suggestions.
The freshest and most delicious sushi experience ever! The plates are incredibly designed as well. Highly recommend.
Great food, Great menu, Great customer service. Only good things to say about this place! We were there a little late, once we were done eating it was almost closing time. They did not made us feel rushed at any point, like in other places that you might see staff cleaning around you, instead they were recommending new items to try! Great atmosphere. Very recommended!
Surprisingly good. Duck Curry was honestly the best I've had. Fried smelts were fun. My companion said the spicy tuna roll was amazing. The dinner menu is a little limited as it revolves around sushi but lunch dishes like the aforementioned curry are available.

One of the best new (to me) japanese or thai restaurants I've been to in a while, and i go to a lot of both. Had the miso soup, seaweed salad, sashimi bowl (bomb?), cucumber roll and pad thai. I eat all of those items at a lot of other restaurants and everything was a 4 or 5 out 5. Very good service as well. Great place.
Fantastic food and excellent thoughtful service..had ordered take out and waited at bar .. food was perfect .Will go again next time in town
Delicious food and impeccable service make dining at Yakuza an absolute pleasure. Japanese Nachos are a must for an appetizer. Spicy wahoo roll, an Bangkok roll are my favorites.
