This is a great place for trying a lot of new things at once. When trying food from a different culture, sometimes you don't know what the heck to pick. Taste of Poland has several variety plates that are perfect for trying a new cuisine.

I'm basically level 1 when it comes to Polish food but I feel like this place is entirely authentic. Great atmosphere with a decidely mom and pop feel. Not only a restaurant but a tiny delicatessen as well offering many imported Polish products.
I ordered a half portion of the Bigos which was something like a beefy/lambish saurkraut with a side of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were average but i really enjoyed the bigos. I feel the sour tanginess of the saurkraut worked well with the hardiness of the beef. The meal was priced under $10 with a drink, and while not very filling it was well worth it thanks to the flavor. The only nit picky critique i have with the bigos is that the bay leaves weren't taken out.
I will be going back as many items seemed to be served in family portions and looked great.

This restaurant is a work of love. The cook is anyone's grandma and you can feel the love she puts into her work.  We ordered The Taste of Poland to sample several options with one plate.  It was $28, but there was enough food for three on that plate.  The cook brought it out and walked us through each item on the plate.  You could see her beaming with pride over her work as she described each item.  She was a little hard to understand, so she would point to the menu items to help understand.  I love this kind of attention and care.

Polish food is hard to describe.  It seems to be based in pork, chicken, potatoes and cabbage.  Bigos was my favorite.  It had the strong flavor of sauerkraut, but was mixed with all types of meats and softened just a bit with a brown sauce.  My next favorite was the potato pancake.  It's had unique flavoring.  The rest of the food was good, but has very subtle flavoring.  You will not find bold spices here.

The restaurant itself is well done.  The decor is a slate gray with polka dot table covers.  Polish music plays in the background.  It's quite nice.  There also is a side area they have created to make a grocery store of Polish goods.  In back, there is a meat counter with all types of polish sausages and other meat.

Expanding my Food Experiences. I was in Dallas for business and wanted to try something new and different. This place fit that bill!

I had the Mielony with a salad and green beans - I'm a low-carber. The hostess/waitress sounded like she was from Poland and was very friendly. The atmosphere here is nice with what sounds to be Polish music in the background. They also have packaged food products available for sale. I was very happy to find this place and have it endorsed by a local after the fact!

Delicious authentic Polish cuisine. Made to order and food is always fresh and with clean presentation. I crave the barszcz with croquette, and the pierogi are delicious. The market side has all the Polish groceries we need for holidays and also has a great selection of chocolates. A good reason to visit Plano. Definitely recommend!

Stuffed Cabbage (half order) and Hungarian Goulash for lunch: yes, I skipped breakfast (and maybe dinner too).

The Goulash was served over potato pancakes; stuffed cabbage was served with mashed potatoes and a light tomato sauce. Both were delicious but the very heavy handed salt in both dishes was distracting.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Delizious!. Came here on a whim, after reading the wonderful comments here. The decor is nice and clean, very modern without feeling obtrusive. The waitstaff is authentic Polish, and the service was outstanding. The food...ah, the food. I was on a date, so we went for the Taste of Poland Sampler, a mix plate including pierogis, Polish sausage cooked to perfection, stuffed cabbage with wild mushroom sauce, a traditional Polish sauerkraut stew, potato pancakes and dumplings, with a generous helping of fresh, crisp sauerkraut salad. For desert, we tried the fruit perogis, we ordered blueberry, but the waitress suggested a mix plate of strawberry and blueberry (I think they were running low on blueberry or had an excess of strawberry - at any rate, I was glad of her suggestion in the end). Everything came out promptly, the service was great, the food was some of the best I've had in this area in awhile, and, all in all, it was a great experience - very highly recommended!

Great Food. Just tried European Cafe yesterday for dinner. It was fantastic. The decor was very modern and nice, everything was very clean as well. Our service was pleasant, but it was the food that stood out. We love trying new types of food and this was our first Polish experience.
I had the Hungarian Goulash, lots of tender beef tips with a wonderful flavorful sauce. I am an everything on the side kind of girl if I am unsure how it will turn out, but I just let the dish come as is. It came with slightly sweet pickles on top, cheese, fresh purple onions, and red bell pepper. All of this was on top of potato pancakes. Taking a bite with all these flavors was amazing!!! Everything went so well together, I can't wait to go back and eat this again.
My husband had the pork cutlet with salad and red cabbage. He said it was cooked very well and tasted great, but he ate half of my dish. Next time he wants to go with something a little more complex, rather than a simple schnitzel like type of meal.

Yummy food. Great flavor & great service. We tried the Taste of Poland platter which had which is like a sampler plate. Three of us had it.... it could easily have shared for 4 people. There is also a Polish grocery store onsite. Nice vibe! Would recommend.

First of all huge portion, the plate for 2 was for 3 in my opinion. We were there mostly for the zurek, a white polish soup hard to find outside Poland. Zurek was very good, we liked pierogi and the kotlet was very very big. Sad that they didn’t have the makoviec, will be back. It did taste like authentic Polish food, for sure!

Super happy I found this place. The young lady who waited on us was very polite. Food was AMAZING I will definitely be back. I ordered the cheese and potato pierogi appetizer and they tasted just like my grandmas. Ordered a bunch of other food and it was delicious as well. Enjoy this gem.

We came to Taste of Poland because it caught our eye on a previous visit to a nearby restaurant, which I have forgotten, because it is a pale shadow. Taste of Poland has a variety of dishes on their menu, but they only serve one thing: excellence. I had a pork cutlet with tomato, fried egg and mozzarella: my companions had the whole Taste of Poland platter. The sausage, the pierogies, the potato pancakes and the schnitzel were standouts, but everything was excellent, down to the red cabbage salad. We'll be back.

According to my friend who has relatives from Poland, the food is good and authentic. The prices are a little above average, but for authentic Polish food I think it's worth it. They also have a small grocery store and deli inside! :)

It was absolutely delicious. I got the Taste of Poland with a sampling of everything. We tried all the sweet Polish wines such as honey, raspberry, cherry, peach and black currant. The best was the honey wine, then the black currant and 3rd was raspberry. The cherry tasted like cough syrup. Go and enjoy

My wife is from Poland. I have been to Poland several times and regularly buy Polish food from Chicago Polish delis. I really enjoyed my meal as did the rest of my family. The kids liked the spaghetti and meat balls and crispy chicken. I will be coming again when we are in the Dallas area.

Excellent and authentic Polish food. A nice little gem in Plano. Even brought Poland Ball along to share in the Polish cuisine experience.
