Quick, great custom sandwiches, fresh salad bar... Good options for a quick lunch break! Although the seating design could be better. There's a huge dining room with 1-2 people sitting at each table that fits 6-8 people. If the tables were bigger, people could sit at each end. Or more 2-4 seating tables. My mom & I had trouble finding somewhere to sit. There were tons of open seats, yet no where for us to sit for lunch
For cafeteria food, this place is pretty darn good. I've stopped in here numerous times in the past, and rarely have been disappointed. Their soups especially, are very good. Sure beats the cafeteria where I work at, that's for sure. If I am in the area at lunch time, I will stop in here for a bite. Give it a try!
Best cafeteria in Pittsburgh. Salad by weight, fresh vegetables, sandwiches. Excellent value, original Mid-century decor.
Good/reasonably priced food in a laid back atmosohere. Plenty of seating always available. Daily specials are a bargain. Go!
Best omelettes ever!!!!!! Breakfast is served until 10a. Breakfast burritos are pretty darn yummy, too!
Delicious soups, but the entrees can be hot or miss. It's more like a cafeteria than a cafe.
Really cool spot underground where the old gateway station used to be, though the food isn't anything fantastic, its decent enough
