Most consistent pizza in the area. The same person always makes it and is family run.
Tons of toppings and value for your money.
The Sicilian and Chicago pizza there are the best around.
Pick this place instead of the other ones around (doughboys, julianos) that have good reviews. You will not be disappointed.
Best sicilian pizza anywhere, I love it with Sausage and Mushrooms.
You will have leftovers as this stuff will fill you in no time. Traditional pizza there is good too.
Love it of course. I took my first bite in May of 1977, have been all over the united states eating all kinds of pies, and have yet to find anything that matches it. When I think of Pasquarelli's I think of a great joke I heard long ago that fits the situation. There once was a street in Somewhereville, Yourtown. A single pizza parlor opened up and quietly staked its claim. Its product was the only advertisement it needed to attract and build its base of faithful customer. One day, a new pizza business opened up next door, and in order to compete, it hung a huge sign over its door that read: "The BEST pizza in TOWN". A month later, a new competitor opened across the street, and hung a huge sign above its door: "The BEST pizza in the COUNTRY!". Still another opened up next door to that, hanging a sign that stated: "The BEST pizza in the WORLD!" ; yet another opened, and hung it's sign: "The PIZZA in the UNIVERSE". One day, the owner of the original pizza shop (you can call him Pasquarelli) went out and tacked a sign above its door that stated: "The BEST pizza on the STREET". Ironic that the the one with the best pizza on the street was also the one with the best pizza in the universe.
Best kept secret. Pasquarelli's doesn't get the publicity as some of the better known plizza houses in Pittsburgh, but that's ok. McKees Rocks has more than a handful of great pizza places. None of them can beat Pasquarelli's. He's been there longer than any of them. My dad brought me there more than 35 years ago, and I still think it's the best around.
One cheese pizza and one "everything" pizza (toppings are extra so we picked the toppings for an everything pizza. My God this is by far the best pizza in Pittsburgh. The combination of the dough and the pro grade pizza oven make this stuff to die for.
Home is the original stuffed crust pizza since 1973. If you're looking for the best home made stone oven cooked pizza old world style then here it is. Hopefully if you haven't tried it yet then you're able to try it before the Pasquarellis retire. This is a one of a kind experience. Don't settle for conveyor belt pizzas, try the original handmade dough, sauce, meats and fresh veggies. They've cutback on their hours and menu items but the original stone oven cooked pizza is still available.
By far best pizza I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried everywhere. The flavor profile in the sauce alone has enough umami to make you weak in the knees, and the fact they layer it under the crust is just phenomenal. I don’t write reviews but I felt like I had to for this place. Would rate over 10/5 stars if I could. Hours aren’t normal, they seem to be open only when it is convenient for the owners, however the food is out of this world.
Absolutely incredible pizza. I drove all the way up from WashPA on a hint of a whisper of a legend of a story about this place, and every bit of it was true. Great quality cheese and toppings, but the flavor development of the crust is just miles ahead of anything I've had in a long time. I've lived all over the country and traveled even further, and this is some of the best pizza I've had.
Folks, I haven't been there in a while but used to bring the pizza into work for co-workers who loved it. I got the pizza "half baked" so I could take them home and put them in the fridge, then take them into work the next day and just cooked them at about 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. People raved about the sauce and cheese. The pizza is outstanding and the best ones are the the super thick pizzas, might be called Chicago style? Its about an inch and a half thick, one slice was like eating a portion of lasagna. He's been there for over 40 years. Best pizza in the Rocks.
best pizza ever! make them to order, I like peppers and onions on mine? it is mind blowing! also Anna makes super spaghetti meals with salad and big chunk of italian bread! order every week so many homemade choices!
Simply the best pizza in Pittsburgh. Doesn't get the hype of others because it's in the Rocks. Bruno and Mrs. Pasquarelli have been an institution for 40+ years! Make the short drive and try for yourself!
We came across this pizza place a few years ago and OMG it is Yummy! It is great to know the same two hands make your food!
I first had Pasqi's in 1979.. I still have not found pizza as good as Bruno's anywhere. Seriously.
It's cash only, so dont bring your credit card.
Love all the food from this place. Forget cardboard pizzas. Homemade taste here. Great sandwiches too!
