We have tried many different Indian restaurants in Pittsburgh, but nothing comes close to Prince of India! For years this restaurant has served us authentic, flavorful North Indian food. We are never disappointed when we eat here. Highly recommended!
Outstanding Indian food for a really good price. We're college students and we are still shocked at how reasonable the price is.
We've tried the chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori and butter chicken and loved all of them. I'd recommend getting mild spicy on everything as it tastes much better. Also the chicken samosas are a yummy appetizer.
Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh!
Was in a mood for indian food so went to prince of india . I was impressed with the service provided by Atif where the food was served on time where the flavor was to the money . Punjabi food at its best . There are many choice of indian food in Pittsburgh but if you are looking for some good Punjabi food visit Prince.
Ordered the Lamb Do Piaza and Chicken Jalfrezi and it came with rice , also an onion and a garlic naan. Both meats were super tender and sauces were rich, I enjoyed it. Portions are small for American standards but was perfect, and walked away full. Husband said it wasn't super complex flavors (he ce 4 out of 5), but I enjoyed it. Would def recommend it to anyone.
I always love the food here! They have great vegetarian options. If you go at lunchtime, you can sample everything at the open buffet. They're good about both dine-in and takeout, although I will say their atmosphere changed a little with covid. There are a lot more takeout orders and fewer people in the restaurant. They are also careful to ask how much spiciness you like! 10/10 would recommend.
Awesome food and service! The buffet is a great price and they have gluten free options(basically anything besides Naan bread and the deep fried items on the far right. The Saag was delicious. Nothing was overly spicy. Chicken Tikka Masala was on point. Vegan and vegetarian options were present as well.
I had ate here in the past , and the food was good, so I went back and got the same thing again lol….. we love rice and chicken, that’s the combination I went with
The food was good. The nan wasn't burnt, which is a common problem in a lot of places. It wasn't too spicy but had good flavor. The meat while tender was a little lacking in flavor.
Overall it is one of the best Indian restaurants I've found in the area though I'm still searching for that perfect experience I've had at some other places in other states.
Lunch buffet $10.69 with tax. Buffet has four hot vegetarian dishes and four hit non-vegetarian dishes, plus naan, sides, and dessert. Nice seating and bathroom downstairs.
Buffet, Indian vegetarian: It had 4 veggies and two were good and two were not so good. But they had few more options. The best thing is garlic naan/roti. It is so crunchy and fresh, it is totally worth it. And they have student discount too. Thanks
