Have been here almost once per week for the last couple months. Always delicious and fresh! Best Chicken Tikka Masala I’ve had! Get the garlic naan bread.
The most delicious Indian Vegetarian Thali. I liked the eggplant, paneer sauce, black lentils, and roti. Chicken tikka was excellent. Good umami.
Great buffet for weekday lunch. Food is always good. Trays seem to get refilled quickly when they run out. Reasonably priced for all you can eat Indian food. Not always the same stuff either, which I appreciate. Very plain inside, but who cares.
I've been here several times for dinner and enjoyed my meals every time. The spices seem more bold than other Indian restaurants nearby. As usual, their lunch buffet, while not bad, pales in comparison to a made to order meal.
I'm something of a connoisseur of Indian buffets. I'd say it's my favorite type of food but I hadn't yet tried this one as its only two doors down from another Indian joint but I read happily surprised by what I got.
In terms of variety its one of the smaller lunch buffets. There were only about half a dozen entrees but what was there was excellent. The Tikka was well spiced and the chicken cooked nice and firm. The Veggie Korma was excellent. My only complaint would be that the rice was a little dried out and clumpy but all in all I liked it.
I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with naan and had it delivered. The food too about 40 minutes from order to delivery. The food was still very hot and fresh. The order was executed just as placed. The taste was fantastic! It was flavorful, tasty, spicy and hit the spot! I can't wait to bring my family here! I hope they have a buffet. I recommend this restaurant and will bring my business again.
This place will always have a spot in my heart. Not only were the owners and their family my first introduction to Indian food however they are wonderful hard working people. I absolutely love the food and hands down the naan and chicken tiki masala are among my favorites. It’s almost like home cooking to me now, no where compares. It is worth a trip if you are ever going down to the theater or just downtown in general. Great atmosphere for a meal that would steal the taste bud hearts of any.
I am Indian. I have eaten Indian food in Finland, NYC, Toronto, San Fran, London etc etc. This place is by far the best Indian food I have ever had. That's the good. The food is bloody brilliant.
The bad - I didn't even want to enter this place because of the harsh cold blue fluorescent lighting that made the place seem more like an industrial laundromat than a warm cosy dinner place. But lucky for me the other Indian joint was shut on a Sunday. So I went in - and was completely amazed by the flavours and accuracy of spicing (1-15 scale I am not kidding).
Dear owner- please do your chef and the awesome waiter dude a favour. Fix the damn lights - and fix the decor. you need yellows not harsh white lighting. Warmth. And improve the overall ambiance a bit. You will do much better.
To the Chef - u are a master, sir or madam. The best I've experienced and i am very picky. Brilliant work.
I went in for dinner NOT the buffet so lee that in mind. I'm seeing the reviews are variable based on ala carte vs buffet.
Love this place. I have only gone at lunch time and they mainly have the lunch buffet available. You don't have to wait to be served or told to go up to the buffet, you can just go up. Pay at the register after. The food is so good and changes up from time to time. Several vegetarian and chicken options.
The best Indian food in the greater Pittsburgh downtown area. My wife and I order from here on a regular basis and the quality is always consistent. Friendly staff, as they even cater to some of our one off orders. Definitely recommend.
