I wanted to try a new Italian restaurant and I saw this restaurant on Google that has a 4.4 stars at the time of my visit, so I decided to come here and try their food. I really like their pasta dish! That was on point! My husband said his chicken and pasta dish was ok. What I didn't like is the way that they made their fried zucchini. I'm not sure if that's how real Italians make it, or if they have their own stype of fried zucchini, but it's not really fried at all. It's like more a breaded zucchini with sprinkled cheese on top. If you are expected an actually fried zucchini with a nice crunch, you will be disappointed. The restaurant is also very small and everyone is cramped up in a small space. I wish they have a bigger space, or at least offer less seating so that there's more space between the tables so that customers don't feel so claustrophobic.

The Greens and Beans with sausage was an excellent start, delicious. The dinner was decent. Some of the dishes around us looked really good and customers raved about sone. Very small place so you notice the food as seating is tight. The service was sketchy. Felt like they were not listening at times and they forgot to bring requests. Then felt rushed at times although it was not busy. The desserts will be a pass if we visit again.

Jan 2023 update Unfortunately, this place has gone a bit downhill since our last visit. Here are our impressions on this vist: A small restaurant in a non-descript strip mall in the South Hills. Yet, reservations are needed days in advance – especially for weekend seating – and it’s always packed. Must be something to the food? They specialize in American-Italian food. We went there with another couple recently (made reservations to be able to get in!) and tried four different main dishes, as well as a salad and an appetizer. As soon as we sat down, a bread plate was provided with several slices of thinly sliced bread and a small bowl with olive oil and a dollop of balsamic vinegar in it. We found out in advance that they do not have a wine list, so we brought our own. Their corkage fee is listed on the website at being $8, but they actually charge $10. For the appetizer, we tried their stuffed hot peppers. These were two gigantic peppers stuffed with a mixture of meats, then baked in a tomato sauce with cheese on top. We’ve had these appetizers all over town and this version was done very well. There was enough in here to feed eight people! For the salad we got the beet salad and that featured sliced beets with pickled red onions and crumbled goat cheese. It was good, but not exceptional. For our main dishes we tried the Chicken Balsamico, Chicken Gigliardo, Eggplant Parmesan, and Pappardelle with Sausage. The bread came in handy to sop up the sauces. The service staff was super busy with two servers taking care of everybody. Nonetheless, our server never missed a beat and was on top of everything we needed. Food came out quickly. Unfortunately, that means that some corners have to be cut as the food was not as excellent as it could have been. The two chickens were dry and the tomatoes in the sauces were very large and had to be cut on the plate – which led to them spritzing juice on the diners. Our total bill for the evening was around $45 per person. =========================== We've been meaning to try this place for several years and finally got the chance to do so. No disappointment. The food and service were first rate. It's an Italian restaurant with standard offerings for the most part, but everything is prepared very well. Portions are large and flavorful. Service was personable and quick. About the only negative comment i would have is that the place is pricey. It is a small place, so i would suggest making reservations. It's also BYOB. A $10 corking fee per bottle is high. You are offered bread and olive oil after ordering. We shared the green and beans which were delicious and the burrata salad which was also excellent. Then we had the veal milanese, chicken parmigiana, chicken marsala and eggplant napoleons. Together with a desert, we spent almost $50 per person.

UPDATE 2ND VISIT 3/30/19 - Might be better than the first time we came here and it was 5/5 stars then! Chef special pork chop was outstanding, and my wife loved her meal. The scallop appetizer and sauce that went on it was heaven on earth! We love the fact that its like a little hideaway spot that seems like nobody yet knows about. I'm sure that will change due to how good all their food on the menu is to eat! FIRST VISIT 12/27/18 - It looks like a little tiny "hole in the wall" place where you just knew the food was going to be great. My wife and I went there for our 10th anniversary dinner. It was BYOB, and I got the salmon and the dessert was amazing. We liked that it was quiet and the staff was awesome! We can't wait to take friends back the next time!

Vodka Sauce was very good. Restraunt is very small, we sat outside. Service was great with limited staff. Definitely worth checking out.

Absolutely love it here, the bolognese is perfect combo of sauce to meat to noodle. The Asiago chicken is my husbands favorite (on special) which is so creamy and has thick noodles and chicken.

The food is so delicious!! I recommend the penne vodka! Service is very attentive and professional. Our server Kristen was outstanding. The seating is a bit tight but in general the atmosphere is great and we will definitely return for the food and service!

Enjoyable meal all the way around - food, service great! Had the Medittarean shrimp pasta, tiramisu, fried zucchini and stuffed peppers (table shared the last 3) - all delicious. BYOB too, so yay! Place is small so expect crowded conditions.

Service was very welcoming for our date night. Food was delicious, and prices are reasonable for the portions you get. We definitely each have another meal after putting only a dent in our entrees. BYOB is always a bonus, with an $8 corking fee. Atmosphere is also perfect for an evening out with a loved one, but it is small and you are basically squeezed on top of your neighbors. I wouldn't attempt eating here without a reservation. It was our first visit and will come back again.

Very happy with our meal and awesome server, Jessica! The restaurant is small, but they do their best to seat everyone strategically and stagger reservations to serve everyone in a timely manner. The portions are also very generous. I got an app and salad for my meal, and had to take some home. Others in my party got a pasta entree and a chicken entree, both of which were delicious. We were too full for dessert but need to return for some another time!
