Great brunch! I love that the restaurant is directly attached and open to a bookstore. It's really pretty inside, with all of the books as a backdrop. Brunch is outstanding - I've never been disappointed! This time I got the eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce and crab cakes. It also came with a small fruit salad. Everything was excellent!

Awesome food! The curry style PEI mussels, the “duck two ways”, and the burger were high quality and freshly prepared.

Stopped in and sat at the bar for quick bit and ended up with an amazing little meal. Great envoriment and atmosphere here. The bartender was super cool and accommodating, definitely coming back.

Simply fantastic food. Lovely atmosphere. Doting waitstaff. (And ten of Pablo Neruda titles in stock!)

Great cocktails, and their dinner menu all looked amazing. My chicken entree was delicious. Also there for brunch, and the poutine was amazing, and huge. It's in a cool spot, and has a great atmosphere too. The only drawback is that it's pretty small, so no guarantees you'll get in on a busy night. Otherwise I'd recommend going to anyone!

Stopped by after walking past twice or so. The food was incredible. Got in during brunch and had an Italian sausage omelette with a side of fruit and loved every bite. The atmosphere is Incredible. It feels like a little bookstore bakery but has a full menu with a fun little bar. I absolutely loved every second I spent here.

Delicious food. Abstract service. Happy hour is only if you sit at the bar.

I should have reviewed this restaurant earlier. I have been here twice. The food was excellent, and the service as well. They were able to feed us during a jazz concert at the City of Asylum, which is not easy to do, but makes the entire night enjoyable. You must order the mussels, as they are the best I have ever had, but everything on the menu has been great. We are so excited another restaurant has tackled this unique venue in the North Side. The City of Asylum is something we, as Pittsburghers' should be proud of, so we are thrilled to have such a great culinary experience compliment the events.

This Brugge on North is the third restaurant to the other two sister restaurants in the East End. They share space with the City of Asylum bookstore. There is a bar in the back. The restaurant is situated to your left as you come in. The center area is for the working and has a stage. On the right is the bookstore. On the lower level they have a space that can be rented out for special occasions. Service was friendly and very helpful. Soups and desserts and made in house. I had their chicken sandwich which was very good. I sampled some of their soup and was pleased. I had homemade cheesecake for dessert and it literally was to die for. The only difficulty in this neighborhood is parking. During the weekday you can use permit parking if available to you. Outside of that you can browse the bookstore while you wait or just hook up your computer or mobile device. I have been here twice and have been thoroughly pleased with both visits.

My wife and I have been here twice (once seated at the bar for dinner , and another table service for Brunch), and both experiences were fantastic. Admittedly, I had the same Mussels and Frites dish both times as it left a great impression on the first go around, but my wife mixed it up both times and was thoroughly impressed with both dishes. I’m glad the cafe/bookstore ambience has stayed intact as a carryover from its predecessor (Caselulla), and I’m glad that’s about the only thing that has held true. The service, quality of food, and drink selections are all far superior to the previous establishment. Living with walking distance is a nice convenience, but this is beyond a doubt a joint that I’d cross a bridge or two for!
