Always a great time ordering from Andy. Fast, fun, and friendly service. The sushi is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend!
I have traveled all around and have tried the top sushi places. Andy's is one, if not, the best sushi I have tried. If there were more stars to give I would. Andy is a delight to talk with and the sushi is the most fresh and amazing experience. This is located in a fish market and there is no restaurant. When we ordered Andy wanted to talk with us and made us exactly what we wanted. We brought the order upstairs to random cafeteria tables with butcher paper easy clean up. Despite this not having some high end restaurant atmosphere, the quality of the sushi made up for it alone. Andy came and talked with us for a minute and is just a great guy. I am going back for dates with my girlfriend, when friends come in from out of town and just when I want the most high quality fantastic sushi! Thank you Andy!
Best sushi from the most charming sushi artist in Pittsburgh! Thanks so much, Andy!
Wish I lived closer! Andy is like a magnet. I’d make it a weekly visit if so. He’s located in a fish market and it’s his own personal booth. Made fresh to go! He offered us some tuna whiled we waited and it was delicious! He was funny and you could tell he was proud of his place! 🍱 Go check it out ♥️
My man Andy knows how to make great sushi. Every time I m in Pittsburgh I do make a stop to Wholey seafood market where Andy has his one man sushi stand. The selection of rolls and sashimi is good and portions are very generous for the price.
Make sure to check out the specials board. His salmon mango specialty roll is one of my favorites.
His sushi stand is open daily but be prepared to wait 15-20 min for your food as he gets super busy at times.
This is a take out only place. Wholey does have a dinning area with hand full of tables and I am sure you can set up there to eat but it's all self service.
Visited Andy's Sushi Bar for the first time and this was such a cool little spot. His store is one stall inside Wholey Market and it's a one man operation. Everything was made fresh to order and it was delicious. We had the 19 piece with a Maki Roll for $39.95 and it was big enough to feed three people. Out of the sushi we tried my favorite was the salmon but you cannot go wrong with any of the choices to be honest. I would say Andy's is definitely a hidden gem in this area and you should give it a try.
Excellent service, sushi rice was too mushy, too much sauce for my tastes, but aside from that it was well made and tasty.
Never been here before. We live in Dayton , but we we're up in Youngstown. Never even been to Pittsburgh before. Girlfriend said we had to stop and get sushi from Andy. She hadn't even eaten there in a few years. It was great, Andy was super nice. Definitely recommended.
It doesn't get any better than this. Andy will treat you like a king and a friend. He's such a character and so nice, while at the same time being a demon at the sushi bar. Get some of his tuna, you won't regret it! (Bring cash to get on his good side)
I came here for lunch, and I am so happy I did. I wasn't sure what to expect. I figured out it was a stand inside of a fish market slightly before I got there, and you can watch (I assume) Andy make your order right in front of you. Not only that, but he's a really spunky guy. He also makes great sushi. Everything I got was super fresh and tasty. I got a veggie sushi and veggie maki, and I have a some left for tomorrow:).
