We go there frequently. The service is top notch. Also it is nice to see people get dressed up for dinner. And great to family’s dining together. We had the pleasure to have Rico stop at our table to chat. Highly recommend the fried zucchini. You are in for a real treat with it. Light fluffy batter and incredible marinara sauce!!!
Great event space! Large windows and beautiful outside patio space. Unique menu offerings...can't wait to go back for the Chicken Fontinella --- yum, yum, yum!
Great food and service. We have been coming here for years, but it is out of the way for us and we forget about it because we live in monroeville. But after coming here from dinner I believe it is one of the best places for food and service. We found as always the staff greeted us like these were there every week. Food was great I had the spots and my wife had the broiled shrimp. Both hot and fresh with seasoned bread crumbs. We will be back more often
Tried and true. Steady, dependable, traditional are just some of the words that come to mind when thinking of Rico's. From the moment you pull the car up to the valet it is apparent that they have done it this way since 1979. The decor' might be dated, but food and service are why you're here and you will not be disappointed. My choice of e'ntree was the broiled seafood alla Rico. Scallops, scrod and shrimp topped with garlic bread crumbs. All three were cooked to perfection. My only dissappointment came when I discovered that the Caesar salad is not offered in individual servings, but is only available prepared tableside for two. I had an expertly prepared dinner served by a professional and knowledgeable staff in surroundings that prompted me to peek around every corner looking for Frank Sinatra. All of this makes me happy.

Very nice!!!. You really cannot go wrong here! very nice people, owners son is great, helps out all the neighbors too when the snow is coming down fast on the hill.
if you go, just dont bring your loud boisterous inlaws that like to shout alot over the table... ha ha

I have to say lunch was delicious. I had a gift card to use & we are 50 minutes away. Figured a nice lunch with the wife. Started off with fried zucchini flowers! Had these all the time when my parents had a garden. Wife got the salmon & scallops. I got the broiled scrod. Dessert we got tiramsu & I think strawberry cheesecake. House salads also delicious. If ever in the area a great spot to stop.
Traditional Italian fare in an elegant setting. Great for special occasions. Classic ceasar prepared tableside is a must!
One of the best places you can get Italian food in Pittsburgh. The field dishes the pasta dishes the seafood dishes all cooked to perfection. Great wine selection and the service is impeccable. I may be a little biased but that's okay people who know me know why.
Awesome dinner. My husband had veal and I had Virginia spots. Also the crab appetizer was to die for. I would highly recommend Ricos. Our server was very slow and not much interested in waiting on us. However the other servers were attentive to their guests. Therefore we will be back. The food is worth it.
My family's been coming here for over 40 years. Great homemade, traditional, and fresh food. Fried zucchini app is a tradition in Pittsburgh. Service is friendly and efficient. Rico's is an institution in this city.
Absolutely wonderful, delicious, food. As soon as we walked in the door a delicious odor hit our noses. I'm from Cincinnati and this was some of the best Mexican food I've had. Puts some of the restaurants at home to shame. Definitely go here if you can. You won't be disappointed.

Rico's hosted my Mom's 90th Birthday dinner in a private room. From the planning to the serving to the end of the evening, everyone was attentive and kind. The food was delicious, with an appetizer buffet and sit down meal, highly recommend for parties and an evening out!
Wow food was great! Can't say that about the service, Lori our waitress proceeded to tell us how great of a waitress she was, but she fell short. Next time don't tell your customers how great you are, show them

I've only been here for lunch, but on my last visit I had some of the best gnocchi I ever tasted. Today I had a delightful dish of chicken with peppers and mushrooms in a tomato basil sauce. It was wonderful! There is a wide list of desserts from which to choose. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable, the service great. Overall, you can't miss with a meal here!
