Pay homage to the pizza gods. They make the best wood fired pizza in the 'Burgh, and hands down the greatest pie I've ever tasted. Their fresh and all natural ingredients had no impact whatsoever on my gluten sensitivity. These men go out of their way to deliver top quality ingredients, fresh toppings, and sexy food. 5 stars is not nearly enough to rate how satisfied my family and I are. Even my 15 month old finished off an entire slice and begged for more! We will stalk Driftwood Oven. We will find you again.

I have a sensitivity to grains, and the crust of this pizza is the only bread I want to eat ever again. Fermented into a whole different plane of existence. Everything else about the place is great too of course, but I would drive through a tunnel and across a bridge for a pile of leftover crusts.

Best pizza in town. A little pricey but worth it, especially for just a couple slices at lunch. They are also secretly(?) making the best Italian sandwich in Pittsburgh. I try to get in early on Saturday mornings for the rotating cruffin flavor too 😌

Pizza here is phenomenal! The dough is so chewy yet remains a certain level of crunchiness! Slices of pizza are full of toppings and it still holds them well. Each bite gives me a symphony of flavors, melted cheese, fresh cheese, basil, sauce, and dough. Everything works so well. The only thing is that their pizza slices are not premade and heated to serve, but being prepared from scratch. This is a good signal as it means better quality. But I wish to be told at the beginning, since I always order one slice first to see how tasty it goes and then decide if I would order more. If I know even slices are made from scratch, I would order a entire pizza to start with.

This place was absolutely delicious! I’m gluten sensitive but can often tolerate sourdough… some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. It is expensive, so I probably won’t be able to have it as often as I would like, but it is absolutely delicious. Cinnamon roll and croissant were delicious as well!!

The service was great and recommended. I had the Peaches & Corn pizza, it was baked to perfection, all the flavors were right on the palate. Sweet initial bite then chili spice kicks in enough to counter sweetness. Definitely check out their high quality pizza. Their salads were fantastic as well and the chocolate croissant 🥐 was delicious and baked to perfection.

This is awesome bread made from sourdough, the pizzas are delicious. Great atmosphere, young team, friendly staff. The cruffin is super delicious, the great addition to the coffee.

Friendly, pleasant, open kitchen feel, we ate at a linear food bar beside the kitchen. Mass production sandwich assembly was underway in the kitchen as we ordered and ate. Cooks chatted amicably as 4 of us shared 2 pizzas and the meatball appetizer. Relatively thin crust rust was lovely, chewy, nice slight tang. Toppings were generous, the sauce fresh and bright. Meatballs and sauce were quite good, the sauce naturally sweet and complimentary, the meatballs traditional firmly shaped

I'm not usually a fan of expensive pizza. It's usually overhyped and just not worthy the price. But wow, this place is just incredible. Is it expensive? 100%, yes, especially when compared to other pizza shops. But the quality is just incredible, and I think this is one of the few places where it makes sense to pay more. It really is worth it. I ordered 2 slices of the white Bianca pizza, a slice of the cheese pizza, a peanut butter brownie, and a chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious. This white pizza is some of the best I've had in a very long time. Definitely the best I have had this year. The sides of the pie are nice and crispy, the edges especially. They use high quality cheese and a good quantity of it. There is also delicious, creamy ricotta. The dough is well crafted and crunchy. There was some garlic on it as well (small chunks). I think it was around $3.50 or $4 or so per slice, which is quite expensive, but the slices are also large and filling. The red sauce cheese pizza was also very tasty. These were clearly fresh tomatoes and came from a great source. Sweet, but not excessively so. Not too acidic. Good amount of sauce. Would have liked a pinch more cheese. But still, overall very good. I would still recommend the white pizza over this one though. The brownie was very large, especially for the price. They make most of the baked goods in house, if not all in house. I expected there to be peanut butter stuffed inside, but it was more like peanut butter in the dough. Still, very tasty. Chunks of chocolate throughout the brownie that made it rich. Very good. The chocolate chip cookie was also outstanding. It was salted, which provided for a nice contrast. Very large for a dessert once again. It is on the crispy side. Lots of chocolate inside. It's so good and well worth the price, and I'm sure most of the other desserts they make are well worth the price as well. All in all, I am very impressed with Driftwood Oven. This isn't usually my go to pizza style, but even with the price in mind, it's an amazing pizza. Their desserts and baked goods in general are excellent as well. You really can't go wrong with anything from here.

This place absolutely slaps!!!!! If you're just hungry for lunch, you can probably do with just a single Roman slice (although I got two) and you cannot go wrong with any of the flavors. Sit at the window and people watch as you scarf down the most satisfying yet simple pizza and a glass of something yummy. I heard the meatballs are good too although the plate was empty by the time it got to my end of the table 😂

Had been wanting to try Driftwood for a while now, and for good reason. That was a delicious pizza and pastrami sandwich. The pesto sauce with light balsamic drizzle gave all the flavors you could want on top of a perfectly balanced crust. Not chewy, tacky or sharp, just a glide of a bite. The pastrami was smoked well and the sandwich was finder licking good. Will definitely return for this, maybe even try a bagel or pastry.

Pizza was very good! I got take out and had some in the car so I can know what it tasted like fresh hot. It was great room temperature and cold too lol. I got the sausage and added sliced garlic but baaaaby it took a while for me to place the ordered because I struggled with adding that garlic. I ended up doing a yolo but the pizza was very expensive. Adding garlic took me over $30. I was visiting Pittsburgh so I figured I’d try it since I would never have it again. Try this place if you’re not on a budget!
