This little restaurant is a family gem. I am ashamed to admit I had never been there before, especially because the flower shop I own is in the same strip mall. Last Sunday we had a parking lot street fair and because the aroma led me in and kept me interested for hours, and it was next to impossible not to visit this incredible restaurant and order something fun.
No disappointment here!
I ordered a green corn tamale, which was the best I've ever eaten! Better than any fancy chain or fast food restaurant. The home-made guacamole (yes, she made it just for me) was to-die-for and the watermelon drink was different and refreshing.
The restaurant is clean as a whistle and the owners are amazing!
If you're in the neighborhood, or even if you're not, I suggest you stop by Xamaika Antojitos and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
I came to the restaurant to calm my mole negro craving. I was happily surprised to the fast n friendly service. Let me tell you, order the mole negro and Mexican red rice. It comes with freshly made tortillas that left me craving for more. They sell the mole in case you want to make it at home.
Warning!! DO NOT order the tamarindo drink, I’m not sure if it was not finished, but it tasted horrible.
I absolutely love stopping at an unknown restaurant and getting pleasantly surprised. I had a combo meal. My tamale was sooooo good, it was tender, moist and delicious. To be quite honest the combo that I ordered was way too much food for me to eat. My husband ordered a carne asada burrito that was generously filled. I’m surprised this restaurant only has 3.8 stars, this place was awesome! I would recommend trying this place out!
This restaurant is the real deal if you like Oaxacan food. Don't expect a lot of ambience but what you will get instead is some delicious home style food done the right way. Good portions, homemade tortillas, they even have a bunch of groceries available including some fresh breads and cheese. They even had a full selection of thrifty ice cream. There was one waitress for the dining room and she was hustling but was spread thin, still always with a smile.
They have remodeled and ot looks nice. Still plenty of room. Great food. The hibachi grill is well worth it. New sushi station had lots of choices. I don't eat it myself but my granddaughter and daughter in law loved it. We will definitely be going back.
My first time eating a Tlayuda was really good also agua fresca de Calabaza (pumpkin) delicious ,cheps and salsas good flavor. A lot variety of foods 👍I will come back
Great sit down atmosphere, staff was friendly, attentive, and answered questions about the menu. The food was awesome and the aqua frescas were very tasty. 5/5 would eat here again.
This place must be new because we haven't seen it here before. Doing laundry we usually get a bite at Samurai sams but luckily for us it was closed.
The food was freshly made.
The corn Tortillas were made to order which is always better.
I ordered the chile rellanos and was great!
The service was very friendly and the server was very kind in helping us with the menu.
Saving the best for last was the green sauce that came with the chips. If my wife would of let me I would of put my straw in the bowl and drank it.
I recommend this place for sure.
Great selection of all walking flavors.
Come in and try the champurrado OAXACA CHOCOLATE DRINK
ALSO, the Chilaquiled FRIED TORTILLAS
Very authentic. Most items in this menu/ restaraunt i had not found at local Mexican food places. Everything seems to be the same food or types. Chimi, tacos, enchiladas etc....but these items were different. It was unique and very good
