I love Papa Joe's fish-n-que. My husband and I found it one Friday when looking for a fish place. From the looks of it, it's nothing special, but one taste of their fish and you'll soon change your mind. Simply the best fried fish I've ever had. My favorite and I've tried a lot of places that do fish frys. My favorites are the spicy catfish and the collard greens and okra. Their jalapeno hush puppies are good too if you like spicy. The batter is thin, crispy, and flavorful. Do your stomach a favor and go to Papa Joe's!
My husband and I are passionate about our food. I'm from Europe and he is from the middle east. Today we tried papa joe's for the first time and loved it. True southern cooking, the okra and catfish were delicious and not greasy. The brisket was also great, and their homemade sauce was tasty. I would recommend this to anyone that wants some good comfort food. You can dress up a restaurant but if the food ain't good, you can't fix that. I love mom and pop places like this. Will go back again and hopefully soon
In a word Fantastic. I had the Spicy Whiting Fish Sandwich. It was no frozen square patty. It was a fat filet. It was fried crispy to perfection. This is my Fish Sandwich place to go now. I would recommend everyone have one. They even have an outdoor patio. The sandwich plus fries were about $6. This is a best buy!

Mmmmmm fish. I had the cod (one piece) with a side of coleslaw and sweet tater tots...yum. Coleslaw was excellent. It was really creamy and slightly sweet (the way I like it). I'd go back for a quick lunch or a hankering for fish.
Brought my family here today for lunch. We tasted love and years of experience in the food. After we demolished our fish flatters, I was stuffed. But I couldn’t walk out of there without trying the burger. Excellent burger too! We found our new go to fish fry! The employees and ownership are the icing on the cake. Loved the experience all the way around 10/10!
Hands down the best fish in the city! Breaded and seasoned perfectly! The service was fantastic! I couldn't decide what type of fish I wanted to get so Papa Joe gave me 1 of each. The cod, whiting and catfish. The portions are huge and each fish was flavorful and tastey. With the combo you get shrimp and a drink for a great price! Would highly recommend!
Was recommended by another business owner to try this place. It is awesome. Had a great vibe to it and had great food. I will be visiting here again soon.
Very good food, but I haven't had much of it since CORONA hit the city! Every time I drive by or call, they're never open for business...

Fill yourself with nutrients for a very fair price! Divine, flaky fish with plump shrimp thrown in. Peaceful and easy-going place in which to recharge your batteries. You absolutely must try their okra. Stuff of dreams! ✨
