Ok. Our first experience with Mexican good. But sooo good. Big portions and total tasty. Very friendly staff. Nice seating. But all the dishes we tried where so good. Try the chief’s specials. And the fried ice. Come hungry!!!
The fish tacos were excellent. Need to eat them first though as the corn tortilla breaks quickly. The kids cheese crisp was good. The polo fundido was well prepared to. I was disappointed with the chips and salsa. Salsa had little flavor and the chips were over cooked.
This was our first time here. And oh my goodness the food was amazing. I got the grand burro. And my boy friend got the little bit of everything (miniature). The burro was so mouthwatering delicious, like a little bit of heaven in your mouth. And for his it was a great sampler to try if you are unsure with what to try. We will definitely be coming back again soon. Big portions, delicious taste and great staff. (We both ended up with to go boxes!!)
I have been going to Carol's O'Brien's for at least 30 years!! I Love it! I love how they keep their amazing food the same and the place looks the same too. It's cozy. Even when it's busy it's not too loud. It's such a great place to take family and friends. Every time I go it brings back so many amazing memories. I even texted, my best friend from high school, a picture of what I was having for lunch and told her to guess where I was. She guessed right!! We would go once a week in high school. It's far from where we live but it's worth the trip. Please don't leave us Carlos O'Brien's!! You are one of the last great restaurants from my childhood. My boys (who are now 18) say they remember taking pictures out front and on the patio. They love the good and portion sizes too. Highly recommend! We will be back. Hopefully sooner than later.
I can't believe I didn't go here sooner. This place has amazing food and a good deal on their margarita pitcher. The rice and beans are on point. I had the chimichanga with shredded beef. It was delicious. Everyone in my party liked their food and the pitcher of margaritas.
We will be back.

After being ignored at Richardson's, I made my way over the Carlo's O'Brien's. Within 5 minutes I had my drink in front of me along with chips and salsa. The food was excellent and the service even better as it brightened the sour mood I had when I had arrived. And thank you for the leftovers!
Good place, we go all the time when we visit our grandparents but the food could use some help. Huge portions but not that great on flavor.
Was recommended by an Uber driver that this place was the best around. They did not disappoint! I ordered the Lunch special fajitas and it was bigger than my entire body! Huge!!! And super delicious too, would recommend to everyone. Margaritas are the bomb! Great happy hour deal too, a big frozen marg for like 4 bucks. Chips and salsa was an endless supply! Amazing service! Good prices.

I went here last weekend for the first time in about 4 years. From what i remember , the food was good.
So i had high expectatios.
Firstly , the service at first was ok. Got seated and it took a few minutes for anyone to even bring us chips and salsa or even take our drink orders. It wasnt that busy either.
Finally i ordered the taco salad.
It took forever to come out and when it did , i was already kind of full from all the chips and salsa i ate.
The salad in my taco salad was literally salad you get in those cheap already made salad bags at the grocery store. The chicken was dry and bland. Guacamole was slighltly brown. I tried to make it better by adding salsa but there was no hope. The only thing i liked was the tortilla bowl it came in. Thats it. My husband got the pollo fundido which was AMAZING and my kids got the fish taco and the mini chimigangas which were also good. I think this dish has to go or at least work on it to make it better. Our waitress was great . She was very attentive and had great service. I will come here again , but not for the taco salad
