Kingston City Restaurant

I have been eating here for about 10 years and this is the best Jamaican food I've had in any part of the city. I literally go back to my old neighborhood just to get a taste because no one else has topped their flavors to me. The flavors are great, the consistency perfect, the prices are reasonable and the portions are fair. It is a family restaurant and you will know it after one taste because they put so much care into their food. This is not the place to go for fast food...if it were the food would be just sitting around waiting for you all day and be old by the time you get it. If you want the best I suggest ordering about 20 minutes ahead of picking up or 40 min ahead if having it delivered just like you would a pizza place where they make everything fresh for you. The food has a fresh look and fresh taste every time period so I don't understand people complaining about time. Time equals care and I would rather have my food melt in my mouth after waiting a half hour than to eat somewhere else where my food has sat around all day or has been thrown together like other places I've been. I've tried everything from the oxtails, mac n cheese, cornbread, beans and rice, stew chicken, fish, pork and beef ribs, cakes, I mean everything...they really put their heart into their food. More importantly they are pleasant to work with and they keep their kitchen clean. It is it is always a good experience. If you have not tried Kingston City go now!
