We ordered the house fried rice, General Tso’s chicken, and beef and broccoli. All tasted okay to me. When ordering online you have the option to pick the spice level of the General Tso’s and I asked for the spiciest. It was not spicy at all and the sauce tasted a bit different than I’m used to. As for the beef and broccoli, that tasted pretty good and the broccoli still had a crunch to it. The rice was good and there was a good amount of meat included in it. Probably will keep looking around for better Chinese food but this place is decent.
The food is really good. Better than most places. The customer service is excellent, and every time I go in, they are usually cleaning. It's a pretty big place and good to sit down and eat. I wish they still continued doing the fried banana. For some reason, they stop making and selling them.
Update: We moved away from here, sad times for sure, but stopped by today for pick up ordering. The food is still A++++, favorite Chinese take out place in Philly and we have tried a lot. The portion sizes are amazing, everything is always well cooked, and the people working are always nice. It's also great seeing them a newer location, closer to more shops and probably getting more business than they used to.
Very good sized proportions for the price, well worth getting take out. The inside for eating is just okay, I don't think I'd ever eat inside since I like to get take out so much. I ordered take out over the phone and it was ready in 15 minutes. The lady helping me while getting the take out was also very nice, and made it a quick process. I was able to get three meals out of their lunch portion, and my boyfriend was able to get two meals.
My favorite place to buy my beef and brocoli with rice, now with new location closer to my house.food taste so good and the vegetables fresh. Veggie egrolls very good too.
Highly recommend this place.
Dinner combination platters come with a good amount of food for the price. Vegetable fried rice really isn’t all that good, doesn’t have much flavor, but everything else was decent.
Got their lunch combo special that came with a choice of soup or soda. I got the wonton soup which was good. The general cho's chicken had the standard flavor and was good too. I decided to also get the spring roll. In total lunch costed under $10.
This location has plenty of seating and take out orders are quick
I use to love they food now idk the last time my shrimp was overcooked the beef on the stick tasted like all fat i get delivery the man makes me walk to the car and hands my food out the window and I’m still tip
I have tried several of the dinner boxes. They are all are great. The size and quantity of the shrimp are really great. Prices are reasonable.
Love their food, always pretty good just need to work on giving utensils with them.
Egg drop soup was my choice for today. Coworker bought the Hot and Sour soup. Both are excellant choices! I will return to the Golden Chopsticks the next time I'm in the area.
