I tried the Vienna sandwich which had chicken cutlets, mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, roasted peppers, arugula, tomato, and balsamic glaze. The sandwich was really good and the portion was generous. The ingredients were fresh. One thing I noticed was that the bread is on the hard side but I like it that way because it prevents sogginess. I will definitely come back. All in all, I recommend this spot!
Don't walk...Run!!! This place has INCREDIBLE SANDWICHES! They also have soup that's made in house. The proportions are enormous which is great for a lunch and then a dinner. It's a chef's kiss kinda place. If you want the best sandwiches in Philadelphia, eat here. The meat was very fresh as well as the veggies and dairy. Very kind owner named William. One of the sweetest shop owners I met. I highly recommend this sandwich shop and cannot wait to go back!
Holy Moly! This is why you come to Philly, to get Italian sandwiches like this! Getting one of their specialty chicken cutlet sandwiches is a must! They take classic Italian style sandwiches and add a cutlet to it which brings it to a whole another level. The flavors work so well together!
I got the Vesuvius Sandwich
Chicken cutlet, hot sopressata, dry capicola, sharp provolone cheese, fried long hot peppers, blend of hot spices, tomatoes & arugula. The Italian owner is there throwing down the sandwiches himself!
The Mona Lisa Cutlet sandwich is fantastic. Great, fast service and even got a free bag of chips compliments of the house. Will definitely be back!
Great addition to Rittenhouse Square! I haven't lived in the area for a few years so was hankering after a hoagie. While Primo is just fine, I wanted a more hometown feel and found Tortorice's. They use Sarcone's rolls and wherever said that the bread was not good should think again. Great crust with nice pillowy crumb is just right. Three meats were top notch and sliced to order as they should be. The tomatoes and arugula were fresh and added great brightness to the sandwich. Must admit these are not usually descriptions I usually use for hoagies so that says something. A very small store so limited seating. On street parking or the garage around the corner off of 20th street of you're driving.
A must visit for your visit to Philly. Simply formidable sandwiches. Been there once, and The Broad Street Bully is special.
Broad St Bully and Matteo were both delicious! Meats sliced to order. Owners were great. Great experience thank you!
This place is one of the best sandwich shops you’ll find! Def recommended and if there’s a wait, it’s worth it. I’m not a big fan of tuna but I get it here and it’s 🤤
Whoollyy mutha of God!!! Man, sorry I didn’t take a pic of this monster, but I couldn’t stop eating the first half!!! Honestly one of the best Sandwiches in my life!!!
It’s called “The Lucifer”. It’s sinfully good. William (the owner) watches movies and a number of TV series and “Lucifer” is one of them. As far as I’m concerned, if his inspiration are these shows, maybe I gotta start watching em if it’s HALF as good as this sandwich!!!
You gotta check him out. He’s a really nice guy and this biz gets BOTH of my greasy finger lickin thumbs up!!!
WOW!
I was looking for a new place to try for lunch and this menu looked inviting. I went with the Mona Lisa thinking the chicken cutlet would be warm, but I really enjoyed the sandwich as they recommended. The service was Jimmy John's fast, but the sandwich was so much more. It was gone before I could grab a picture, but I'll be back again.
