This was a spur of the moment visit. We went to Philly expecting to go to another Jamaican restaurant that I love, but they were closed.
This was a 2nd choice because Hubz had been here before.
The restaurant was located in a busy block, but we found parking easily.
The service was great. The employee at the counter was polite and made sure he had our order correct.
We waited about 7 minutes for our 4 platters.
They all came out hot and fresh. As we waited, I noticed several employees in the back scrubbing equipment and cleaning pots and pans. They were very clean inside the small restaurant.
Lastly, I ordered us a few beef patties to eat on the ride home.
The four platters, 2 beef patties, and a drink came up to about $85, which isn't bad.
The food was good! Not the best Jamaican food I've had, but no complaints. I'd go back as my 2nd choice for Jamaican. I give a 4.3 out of 5.
Great food, the rice and peas are cooked to perfection. The jerk chicken was the star of the show. A must have when visiting from Baltimore.
In my opinion this is the only Top Taste you should go to. The food is always on point and they have a good selection of Jamaican drinks!
Where do I start? This food is(TENDER OXTAILS, RICE & BEANS, CABBAGE with a SIDE of MAC & CHEESE): DELICIOUS, MASSIVE, AUTHENTIC, WELL WORTH THE MONEY, MADE WITH LOVE!!!!💜. I’m NOT KIDDING, YOU WON’T BE MAD WITH THE PLATTER!!!! Now the FEES ASSOCIATED WITH DD(DoorDash) that’s ANOTHER STORY!!! But THEY GIVE YOU SOOOO MUCH FOOD THAT YOU’VE ALREADY PAID FOR The fees with THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU GET!!! I ate for 2 1/2 days & on the 3rd day, I ordered a SMALLER, YET STILL HUGE platter & put the REST of my INITIAL platter with THAT ONE & IT LOOKED LIKE I NEVER ATE ONE BITE!!! OMG, TOP TASTE IS THE BOMB!!!! (Btw, I had JERK CHICKEN, RICE & BEANS, CABBAGE & a side of MAC & CHEESE)
Been going here for years every since they opened, never been disappointed! I typically get the same thing all the time which is, the jerk chicken, rice and peas, with steamed cabbage. Only complaint I could possibly think of is the couple of times I went here late and they were out of plaintains. My favorite Jamaican food spizzot.

Food always amazing I lucked out and went early so it was no line. The food is a bit expensive which is crazy they remain cash only cuz they always raising their prices like they don't get the oxtail and goat wholesale. Macaroni and cheese is slammin. I got a large platter the other day. They should take credit or debit given the area it ain't exactly safe 2 be walkin around with any cash on you. The the large mix meat platter curry goat with oxtail. Rice and peas with oxtail gravy and macaroni.
Me and my wife been going to top taste since the mid / late 1990s , I'll tell you what the staff hasn't lost there touch . Even though prices have went up but you still get great big portions for your money , that particular Saturday I didn't mind spending 75.00 . Everything was worth it.
