we eat at Marias quite often. The food is always good, never had a bad meal. Love the atmosphere too. The waitresses are very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. We are never disappointed.
We held our RHS class reunion on Sept 22,2017 at Maria's and could not be more pleased. The food was outstanding and the staff so friendly and efficient. Highly recommend Maria's.

Excellent Still!. I have been going to Maria's since it opened but haven't been there in a year. I read some negative reviews that did not accord with any of my past visits to Maria's. I decided to go tonight and see for myself if there has been a downgrade in quality. Absolutely not!
The Italian bread was fluffy with a crust (not sure what this is called--maybe bruschetta). It came with olive oil. The eggplant involtini was as delicious as ever. A fresh garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette was included. The chicken parmigiana was very fresh, tasty and beautifully breaded and fried. It's as good as anyone could prepare. The marinara sauce was fresh and full of flavor. Also, the spaghetti was cooked alla dente with pieces of fresh basil. Yo! Where ya gonna get that? That's no ordinary side dish!
To the guy that complained that the tomato sauce was too watery: Hey! Tomatoes have water in them. That's what makes them juicy. Especially when they are fresh (not tomato paste).
Maria's is still an authentic Italian restaurant that serves good fresh homemade food at reasonable prices. Go and enjoy!
Great food.. I have driven by this place for a while now, and have always wanted to check it out. I finally made it in on 7/7/12, and I am glad that I did. I had some of the best chicken parmesan I have ever had. The other members in my party had the Chicken Tuscany, and the crab cakes. Both liked those dishes very much, as well. The polenta appetizer we had was also very tasty. The desserts are made in-house, and were also excellent. I had the banana cream pie, which was loaded with bananas. The other desserts we had were a chocolate chip cheesecake, made with ricotta, and a chocolate chip cannoli. Both of those were delicious, too.
The menu also has a fairly large selection of burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas, that sound good. I plan on going back to try some of these "lighter" options on the menu.
I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Italian food.

GREAT PIZZA. They have a weekday deal there to get a large pizza for mucho cheapo. We have ordered the whole grain crust and it is fantastic!

Good restaurant. So I recently went to Maria's for dinner with my wife and daughter and had a pretty good experience. I had to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes as it was Saturday and i had no reservation but the wait was fair. we were seated and brought fresh bread that was warm and soft. the food overall was amazing. i recommend the eggplant involtini appetizer and the chicken tuscany for dinner. the gelato for desert was also very flavorful and my waiter then offered me coffee or espresso and my coffee wasn't half bad. my wife liked her tea. overall it was a good stop, however my only complaint is the new addition of pizza and sandwiches to the menu. i had been to this restaurant before and had a pleasant experience and this time was no different except that i felt that the more casual menu made the place feel cheaper and took away from the authentic Italian atmosphere i had sought after. nevertheless, the food and service were stellar as usual. great place to get a good meal, at a reasonable price, from a staff of pleasant workers.
Great spot for whatever you want. I frequent Maria's on a regular basis and love it. The food is always delicious and the homemade desserts are even better!! It's great for bringing my wife out away from the kids or grabbing a spot at the bar with my boys for a bite and trying all the new beers they have!ha! Can't go wrong at Maria's!
Outstanding, this restaurant is the best Italian food I’ve had. The chicken parmesan here with either spicy or regular marinara is incredible. The chicken is still crisp and the cheese and sauce aren’t overpowering it culminates into an excellent dish and the best chicken parm I’ve had. All of the desserts are also made by the owner and they are wonderful. This restaurant is immaculate and the service is also top grade. Very polite, attentive, and warm. STRONGLY recommend. It is always packed so account for a little wait if you didn’t call ahead and make reservations.
A community staple for 20 years. Today was my first time there. They have a small bar, have a separate area for pick-up, and a good seating area. They have a small parking lot off Summit St. Do not park in the big lot as that is for the buses.
The menu has something for everyone. From pub food to filet mignon. I choose the house-made gnocchi with the pesto sauce. It was a nice side portion and melted in my mouth. The pesto was not overpowering.
I will definitely be back.
We had a great experience at this place. We tried the calamari which was so crispy and good, the crab stuffed mushrooms, three different pizzas, pastas and Caesar salad. Everything was great. We also tried the tiramisu which was light and amazing, the chocolate cake, and vanilla cake. One of the servers saw that my husband had a birthday card and brought him the vanilla cake with "Happy birthday" written on the plate. So thoughtful!!! The staff was great!!

Still excellent! Desserts are amazing! ALL homemade and delicious. Wine bottles are very reasonable.

Still a great little spot. We had dinner outside and it was perfect. The service was excellent. They really took good care of us and made sure we were happy. I added some new photos. The antipasto is a great start to the dinner. It was enough for the 4 of us along with their fresh, hot focaccia bread.
Everything came out hot and fresh and we had no complaints.
The glasses of wine were filled to the brim. Huge pours for all!

Antipasto rustico is amazing and we also had the meatball Parmesan pizza as an appetizer and it was yum!!
We had a great time at Marias yesterday evening.
Some loved their order and some were very good with theirs... but overall we enjoyed the friendliness adaptability ( lots of questions and changes to orders) and superior competence of our server.
My 12 " shared pizza with peperoni and mushrooms was delish.. Everyone enjoyed it.

Nice spot in Roxborough. Clean welcoming restaurant with a good staff and reasonable prices. Chicken cutlet sandwich is outstanding.
Our main courses were excellent. I rated this 4/5 stars due to the appetizers being a little basic (We got the bruschetta. Not much detail or care went into it. And the side salads were bare bones. Was a little disappointed, but by no means bad), and the food took a rather long time to get to the table (1 hour). Regardless, like I said, the main dishes were so good that I would still give it another try.
Dine at Maria’s at least 2-3 times a week . They have the best employees and have never had a bad meal . Food is delicious from the salad to the Homemade desserts made by Maria herself .
Ordered delivery from Maria’s for the first time, the neighborhood is always raving about it. I wanted soft food because of a toothache and someone on the neighborhood page said the lasagna sheets were thin and fresh pasta and that’s what I needed. It was even more delicious than I thought it would be… not even remotely heavy like most lasagnas, but somehow has tons of cheese and many layers of pasta and plenty of fresh tomato sauce. Ooo it’s so good I can’t wait to try more on the menu.
It also came with a salad and a large piece of focaccia. I’ve been sleeping on this place!!!
Maria's is an intimate Italian restaurant that serves great food. I've been dining at Maria's for a few years. I've had lunch and dinner here. I had my engagement dinner here. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. I've never had a bad meal here. Highly recommended.
