The BBQ is a great thing to do with friends. Plenty of food and a lot of fun. The staff were all very nice people and great to talk to. However you did have to ask for a lot of stuff rather than them getting it on their own. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, because they were quick about it when you did ask.
The price is pretty good for the food. The hotpot and bbq meat option has a good variety. The service on other the hand is not as attentive as other bbq places I have been at. You have to ask them to do stuff. They servers barely check on the table. For the price and to satisfy a craving I rate it a 4 star.
Extremely cool place, granted you wouldn't know that based on the name, signage, or storefront but it's a lot of fun.
There are many options but we got the 'all you can eat bbq' which is not at all what you think. You help yourself to a tiny little salad/kimchi bar which has 6-8 sauces for dressing as well as bringing back to your table for dipping. They bring you out a plate of raw meat, vegetables, and a couple pairs of tongs, turn on a burner in the middle of your table and place a perforated metal plate on that. You then butter that plate and cook your own meat and veggies while controlling the temperature yourself. The meats are marinated deliciously, so much so in fact that I didn't even use any sauces. There are apparently many varieties of meat and or veggie plates but ours, at less than $18 a person, included un-marinated chicken, thinly sliced and marinated beef (2 ways one with bone and one without), shrimp, calamari, pork belly, and a couple slices of sweet potato.
Food was awesome and cooking it ourselves was fun. They also include a house salad with some shrimp on it (but it had an anise flavor and I'm not a fan of that) and complimentary spring rolls which were delicious (maybe the best I've ever had).
We were so full we declined a second plate of meat.
They have a full bar, a few cool Vietnamese and Japanese beers as well as a huge cocktail menu.
I had a floral type of unsweetened iced tea and my girl had a soda and our bill was under $40.
We cannot wait to go back. I saw a picture online of a seafood plate that included blue crab.
Service was attentive and we were the last people in the restaurant but they did not rush us at all. For the record we left before their closing time of 10pm, we are not 'those people' and I DO NOT recommend going into a restaurant and sitting down for dinner less than 30 minutes prior to close, that's just rude.
TRY THIS PLACE!
It's now called Ga Vang Restaurant
Great place for family-style dining. My only issue was I was a little leery dealing with raw chicken at the table, but once I got over it everything was delicious!
The BBQ was so good. Spicy kimchi and tasty cuts of meat. Great service as well.
Excellent, economical bbq and hot pot.
Best-in-class service to accompany the good food!
Good prices for good food. Cook it yourself though. Offers hot pot and alcohol
All you can eat lunch??? Kidding me? Amazing food and experience.
