Great food/service, definitely one of the best Chinese restaurant in philly. Suggest this to everyone who loves a good quality Chinese food.
I love this place. The sushi is fresh and priced right. I love the spicy pot of gold dish. They have brown rice! The take out is very fast.
Cheap inexpensive chienese food not the best but far from the worst! If they only switched there rice to brown like jc"s it would be much better soup is good and the dumplings too!
I ordered from the dinner menu, which includes rice, an egg roll and an entree. There is a small delivery fee, but the food arrived hot, and was so very good. Thank you! We had the sesame chicken and the General Tsos.
A true hidden gem. Great food and prices. We ordered sushi, lo mein, and pad thai- all were excellent! Great music inside & they give you free wonton chips. Definitely coming back!
General toas chickens was hot a delicious a bit on the Spicyier side then I usually get. I wish the chick portions was a bit more I feel it was less then other spots but all n all rice was delicious, chicken was delicious only took 10 min after ordering and the staff is so polite 😋
Good service. I had the sesame chicken dinner with pork fried rice ( instead of white rice) , an egg roll, AND wonton soup. This dish was 9.95 and was a great deal of food for that price. This is my favorite dish, and while I have had better versions , this is in my top 5 ( and I order this EVERYWHERE lol). My date comes here often... she had one of their sushi rolls - shrimp tempura in soy paper I believe- and loved it. We also both shared my pork fried rice which was top notch - both loved it!
We shared the steamed dumplings which had atleast 6-8 big pieces and we're very good.
Overall the staff is fast, the food is great, and the price is on point. I highly recommend if you are in the area or if you are seekibg a place with high quality Chinese and Sushi while not emptying your bank account.
For sure I will be returning again and I suggest you do as well .
PHOTOS are leftovers to show size ( about 10% actual dish) and 1 single piece of her roll .
Sesame beef. Cheese wonton. Avocado salad.
Best Chinese food in s philly
Tip: order extra salad dressing if you use a lot
Fairly good food and good service; I'm kinda picky so I'll have to keep trying different menu items until I find what really works for me.
This is our go to for Americanized Chinese. Everyone in the family enjoys it, even my picky father-in-law. We don't get any sushi, but the Avocado Salad I get is always good and something that's not offered at most of the other Chinese restaurants. They have a wide variety of food to pick from and they have been clean each time we've visited. When Covid-19 hit they adjusted well and changed the entrance so only one person could get food at a time. I'm not a huge fan of this type of food but I'll go with Johnny Chang's before anywhere else.
I love their sushi!! Delivery drivers are so nice, portions are huge, and prices are reasonable. I order from here often and have never been disappointed. You can customize your food anyway you want and they make it just the way you like. Would recommend coming here if you don't want to make the trek to chinatown or don't want regular corner store chinese food (:
Recently moved to South Philly and wasn't having luck finding good Chinese food in the area. A neighbor recommended Johnny Changs & I'm so happy I tried it. Food was delicious, ready on time, portion size was generous, & so reasonably priced! Highly recommend!! Definitely found my new go-to Chinese restaurant!
Nice place and good waitress, let us select from the special menu that is only for weekdays. The soup and egg rolls excellent taste and flavor. The dish chicken w/ vegetables is good. Be prepared to eat since a lot is served.
