Love Charlie’s Pizza. Grew up with it in the old neighborhood and drove down to pick up a few pies! The taste brings me right back! Sooooo good!

Negative reviews from failed competitors do not count. Seriously delicious pizza, very similar to Vince's on Grant Avenue (the original owners were cousins). A thousand times better than the chains and even most of Philly's mom-and-pop shops. Tons of flavor. Always add extra cheese for the very best taste. Experiment with the other toppings to find your favorite combination. We prefer the sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and steak, all of which are high grade and incredibly fresh. But again, extra cheese is a must if you like dairy. And wow, is it creamy! The sauce and mushrooms are canned but still taste great because they are cooked properly (to a very high temperature). The dough is made fresh daily and you can taste it. Like all businesses, do not be rude to the staff or they will give it back to you. They are not in business to tolerate your abuse. You might as well buy the large because it costs only $1 more and you can refrigerate the leftovers. It still tastes great if reheated within a few days.
Crust is great, sauce is good. Only problem is they use canned mushrooms. They didn't look like they'd been in the oven. Not sure if you can see in the pic but it's globs of wet, uncooked mushrooms and there is a lot of fluid under them which caused the crust to be soggy. I'll try them again but I'll order differently.
Good pizza. Tried the Gaelic knots for the first time. We enjoyed them as well
Simply great pizza. Family business for 75 years. Can't be happier for the new location. The pizza has cheese on the bottom, covered with sauce then there are small chunks of cheese on top. Great sauce, fresh ingredients. The crust is thin with just a little crisp to it. If you haven't been to either location I suggest you try it out. I've seen where people have had trouble getting pizza. I can only say that I had no trouble and it just shows how popular and delicious the pizza is if they run out.

I can't say enough about charlies It was sad to see the Blvd close but I recently found about Frankford Ave location and went there today just awesome they made it the way I like it thin well done and double fresh garlic you can't find fresh garlic in alit of pkaces i always get my own pie I drove from NJ to get and will be back often Thank you Charlie's for still being around .
Among my more favorite pizzas in the US. Love the sauce and simple greatness of the pies here to the point that, anytime I am within an hour from this place, I am always scheming of a way to incorporate a visit to Charlie's!
9/9/23,Being a long time fan of Charlie's pizza growing up in the neighborhood in Philly then relocating in Morrell Park,I travel from Deptford nj to get my taste of the best pizza out there,in all the years I've eaten Charlie's, i never complain until now I've noticed the crust was much thinner and it was undercooked!,there ive vented,I'll see you next time!
Best white spinach pizza I ever had and service was awesome both gentlemen were very nice and accommodating would highly recommend this place!
Absolutely nothing better than a Charlie's Pizza! Thin crispy crust, perfect amount of high quality cheese and their sauce is amazing! I don't get pizza from everywhere, just a couple of places because they usually aren't very good but Charlie's is at the top of my very short list!
