Best pierogies I've ever eaten in my life, hands down. It's a hole in the wall that you'd probably miss if you weren't looking. Real hidden gem. All food is fresh and delicious. Potato pancakes are huge and the cheese blitzes are sweet and warm and fluffy
Had lunch there today the food was so good potato pancakes, hunter stew so good. Potato pancakes are big 5'' round 1/4'' thick. Will be going back there again next time I'll have some pictures. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I haven't had Polish food since I left my home country a year ago. Decided to visit Syrenka and show my American friend what Polish cousine is all about. The decor does not encourage you to stay and eat there. The food though... It is amazing. I decided to try many different things at once. We ordered mushroom soup, borscht, meat pierogies, stuffed cabbage, bigos, and potato pancakes. Everything was delicious. Bigos tasted exactly like my grandma used to make it. My friend was floored by golabki (stuffed cabbage). The whole meal was extremely cheap. Definietly worth visiting. I know my friend will be coming back.
Totally impressed. Cafeteria style luncheonette. Stuffed cabbage, beats, potatoes pancakes. All excellent.
Best authentic polish food I've had!!
While I've never had much traditional food in Poland, I've been to a few highly Polish cities in the U.S. and the food at Syrenka is definitely up there in terms of quality. I love this place.

Old fashion home cooking...don't say anything as good as moms. Went back for a second visit & still as good as the 1st.
A venerable classic for Polish food. My favorites are the beets and carrots. I usually split an order of pierogi with my son, who loves the kielbasa. Of the things that I've had over the years, the only item that I personally cannot recommend is the galobki. Otherwise, nothing but great visits during the past 23 years that i've been stopping by.
Affordable Polish classics in a cafeteria setting. If you're not familiar with everyday Polish comfort foods, this is the place to go. Don't expect anything fancy - just enjoy.
Very tiny, unassuming restaurant but this place has the best pierogie I've had in my entire life. If you're looking for well priced Eastern European cuisine, Syrenka is like a taste of babushkas home cooking.
The place is not much to look at, but you can't eat looks. The food is some of the best Polish food I have had since my Polish Grandmother stopped cooking. I drive 45 miles to eat there. If I was closer I would be there several times a week.
Best Polish food in Philly. Working class lunch place style. Cash only. If you want upscale dining experience you should go somewhere else. Better Polish food nearest location is NYC.
Ale DOBRA..!!!!
Excellent food , The Pierogi are just like my Babci used to make. The
Glumpki are Super, Pork Chops are like butter.:) And everything else is wonderful too.... Take home a few dozen frozen Pierogi for later...........
Great Food, Great People. Never Leave... We Love Your Cooking.
DZIEKUJE BARDZO...... :)
Polish comfort food in it's best form, homemade fresh from scratch, nothing processed. Nothing short of spectacular deliciousness.
