Jen and I have been frequent diners at Moonshine for several years. The menu is varied, the food is well-prepared, the drink menu is great - and the service is truly first-rate. The staff is a particularly friendly bunch of folks - and whenever something needs fixing (which is rare), the management addresses it immediately. Moonshine is a great place to eat or hang out for a few drinks. I *highly* recommend Moonshine.
Cool place, nice staff, good food and my Wife and I got to meet Chef Big Rube, who personally brought us our meals. I would definitely recommend it!!!
Lately its been a big miss finding bloody Mary's so we went to Moonshine, a neighborhood place since we knew they had decent ones.
Did not disappoint. We had their belgian waffles with sides. I'd say the only improvement could be would serve with actual butter not tiny prewrapped pats or some savory infused one on a very sweet waffle.
Blood Mary & their version of a Moscow Mule were great. The fizzy Sangria was a miss. But we went for the bloody & they were perfect.
Definitely chill vibe... could have hung out all night trying the craft beers. Calamari app was amazing.... moonshine salad and the short rib dip... drooolll... never had a short rib dip with au jus... damn... and damn them tots ❤
It's my local place. Always a nice atmosphere, great staff, everyone is welcomed. A nice variety of beers on tap and canned. Besides the reg menu there are weekly specials on the menu. Best short ribs in town. If there's a game, it can be loud up front, but in the back, or the side room it's toned down. If the weather is nice, or you enjoy cool weather, there's a lot of seating outdoors. There are fire pits, and a TV in the front, along with open and covered seating area on the side.
Exploring our possible new neighborhood, we stopped here for a quick bite & brunch. We choose outside seating because such a pleasant day.
Brunch has 5.00 Bloody Mary's. I was sold. Had the chicken Sammie (not sliders,btw) excellent. But for $5.00 a healthy bloody Mary with just the right spice to vodka ratio. Also an Orange Moonsicle with orange infused moonshine.
The star of this was the staff. Very kind, attentive & extremely helpful.
Definitely going back at night to try their French Onion soup & grilled cheese.
Been there right little while ago. This time was nice. Food was good wife had crab meat sliders. I had chorizo muscles, French onion, soup Son had a chicken sandwich, but nice salad but I would go back again. I wish they would serve Hannigan to.
I just noticed I only put stars and did not actually do a review. The food is so good and the drinks are delightful. One thing that I can say is if you like Bloody Marys the bartender (forget her name) makes the best! My dad really enjoyed them when I took him here and told the bartender that it was the best he ever had. I love the hummus trays and wings! They are my absolute favorite to start off with. The brunches are also really good! I miss coming here before the pandemic because I’ve been here only two times for outdoor dining since then. I’ve gathered some photos over time to share.
Loved the place. Great food; the chicken piccata was delicious, and the drinks were as well. Great service. Our server Sally was amazing, as everyone else. Steve Silicato performance 🎤🎶just added to the place!
I got the crab cake sliders. Oh, so good. The sweet potato fries were overcooked but still tasty. French onion soup was cheesy and delicious, and their wings had a good kick. Highly recommend!
So this place...this place is a neighborhood staple. I've never been here before. I loved it!!! Ok so let's start with the service although it's not the standard they get the job done. I would say it's more relaxed than some other casual dining places I've been. The ladies were lovely that night and very accommodating as we were being served by the bartender and the other staff pitched in to ensure a nice dining experience. The food...we had the Brussel Sprouts which were very good. They were a little more cooked than I like my veggies, however they were very tasty. I will post picks of dinner and drinks. There was Salmon and Braised short ribs...delicious!!! So good that I want to take the whole family back. Then there's the drinks. The Solar Sangria is amazing and refreshing on a hot day. They also have a wide variety of beer. You don't need a reservation, however you may want to check to see how busy they are during peak hours. You won't be disappointed. 💙💙💙
I highly suggest finding this gem and having a wonderful meal here!!! We ordered drinks, an app, and entrees and had great service. The food was full of flavor and the drinks well crafted. I look forward to stopping by here again one day. The interior atmosphere was really on point, great decorating.
