Good selection of local brews and a variety of seasonal hearty dishes. Our table sampled the wurst plate, the schnitzel, and the fried smelts. Home-made mash potatoes and sauerkraut were outstanding. Small and cozy with friendly, helpful staff. Can't wait to return!

Hot wings, fish & chips, & burgers. Wings Review: Great "hot" wings, I order them "extra saucy" because they come otherwise a little under-dressed -- they are deliciously hot. The barbecue wings are sauced in something that looks and tastes like ketchup, with some lite-doctoring.
Great beer-battered fries...best in Mt. Airy.

My Favorite Place to Spend A Weekday Afternoon. Upscale 'Bar Food', especially the daily lunch/dinner specials, which are always anchored by real good renditions of the shrimp/chicken/burger staples. Personally, it's difficult for me to get past their 'Burger' page, but when I do, I'm never disappointed.
Then there's the taps (over a dozen plus a hand pump) with 3 or 4 'house regulars', while the remaining taps offer a thoughtfully assembled selection of craft-brewed and imported quaffs. If nothing's familiar or you can't decide, the friendly (DAYTIME) staff will gladly offer a taste before you select.
WXPN is on the sound system (unless certain PHL sports teams are playing a day game). Even so, what's not to like ???
Good food, nice beer choice.. Good food. Though they have a very nice selection of brews, the beer is a little pricey for it's dumpy pub atmosphere though. I would really love it if they put some money into the aesthetics of this place...
Great beers & great wings, ambitious specials and loads of tasty brews. The regular menu can be disappointing but the super-friendly staff and regulars make up for any shortcomings.
We recently discovered this place and have been here at least once a week every week! The food and drinks are great and the unpretentious local bar vibe really draws us in. I love that they have weekly food specials that rotate — many of which my husband and I have tried (and they’re all good!). The prices are also very reasonable, especially in this economy, so needless to say, we will be repeat patrons here for a long time!
The food at this place is outstanding at great prices!! There are generous portions, served quickly and hot. Lots of draft options and some fab lemonade. Both wait staff and bus service are attentive and friendly. I am looking forward to becoming a frequent visitor!
My suggestions:
Try the linguine with white wine garlic sauce and shrimp (or chicken), the fish 'n' chips, or a Caesar salad with shrimp. AMAZING!

A spot with excellent food. I was looking for something good to eat and McMenamins was high on the list. When I walked in I had no idea the food would be as incredible as it was. We had mozzarella sticks for an app (only 5 in an order) and ordered the fish and chips (with shrimp also) and the cheeseburger w/ fries. The fish was light and flaky with great flavor. The burger (ordered medium well) was well seasoned and juicy. Will definitely be returning here again. $7 drafts 👎🏾 (16 oz). For the app, fish and chips and burger and fries and 4 drafts ($75) before tip. A little pricey but the food is worth it.
Great atmosphere to watch Eagles football. Everyone here was pleasant. From the beautiful souls running the place to the costumers. I ordered wings and gazpacho, and both were really good. I'd definitely come back to watch the games here.
My first time there was for an Eagles game. Their service was excellent. They had waiters coming around constantly for anything you needed. I was very impressed. They didn't miss a beat.
Friday noon is not the best time to visit. But there was always a table or a seat at the bar. I had an order of wings and a "brawler". Great lunch!
Best local pub I’ve ever been to. They know what you drink and have it ready for you as soon as you walk through the door. Wings are the best in Philly ♥️♥️♥️
Now, this was my first time at this establishment. It just came up on my Google search places to eat near me. The atmosphere was very pleasant. When I was told me my food would be ready in 15 minutes, it was ready within the time frame. I ordered Irish shepherds' pie roll and butter and Buffalo wings. The food was delicious. I didn't even really need the blue cheese for the buffalo wings. Barbecue sauce was excellent, and I can tell it was a secret recipe sauce. I will definitely go there again if I'm ever in the area.
Servers were good. Very attentive. Knew how to make good drinks and knew the beers well. Food was very good. Very friendly place. Definitely a locals bar which is always a good sign of a good place to go.
This is a local joint that has a comfortable feel that brings in regulars and those looking for a new place to eat. The menu is small, but there are weekly specials that always surprise. Their wings and fish and chips are top notch! The bartenders are the best and very friendly!
