Had our dog at Penn Vet for an MRI and lots of time on our hands. My wife said, ''let's go to Anastasi's for lunch. Maybe Sal or Janet will be there.''
We missed them both. The service was outstanding from Steve and the young lady whose name I can't recall, so sorry. The food...the food...Mamma mia. Her Caesar was excellent, her mussels were massive, sweet and tender. They should either bottle the sauce of serve a whole loaf of bread with it...you won't want to leave a drop...and licking the bowl would be rude.
My calimari was perfect. And the grilled octopus salad? Yep, rabbit food is good...but octopus is better!! Tender and expertly grilled. A cannoli and latte for dessert...also perfect.
We took home lobster bisque for dinner and her unfinished mussels. The bisque was on point with big chunks of tender, sweet lobster.
The kicker was the music. Whomever picked the playlist did a great job.
So...two suggestions and a comment. Go hungry...skip a meal before you go. Plan on getting some of the city's best fresh fish, soup or cannoli's to go...
And if you want a cheesesteak like some folks wanted and were upset wasn't on the menu? The sign says ANASTASI SEAFOOD...not cheesesteaks. Go up the street.
Janet and Sal?? Muffy say ''Hi.'' We'll be back soon with friends.
Amazing food! Service was excellent. Had the soft shell crab platter. I highly recommend it.
A bushel of #2 live crabs $150. The way I puts it down, they loved them 😆
Fresh seafood cooked to perfection. Cozy restaurant inside the fish market so you know everything is fresh. The portions are generous and satisfying. The wait staff are friendly and make sure you have what you need. We ordered the lobster pasta and jumbo crab cakes. Both were delicious, expect to take leftovers home.
Parking here is street parking, however there are plenty parking garages at walking distance.
This restaurant is way part the more touristic area and at fist glance is not a place that promises much, but once you step in, things change.
They have a fish market adjacent to the restaurant that may be a little odd at fist but I promise that it is worth the try.
We came in for oysters and a couple of drinks, a quick in and out.
The staff here was SUPER friendly and accommodating, the service was so quick and nice.
OYSTER- we had a dozen of oysters, they were fresh and super tasty, they even went the extra step of loosen them up from the shell for us. The price was reasonable as well and the presentation of the oysters was on point!
This place is truly a HIDDEN GEM!
overall we had. great experience, a quick in and out! the dish cam out in a very quick amount of time and the ambiance was perfect too!
super worth the try and I do think that this place is a winner!
Always wanted to eat here, but it just never seem to happen lol I legit have never even knew they had dine-in. The food was popping!! Soo flavorful, saucy, fresh, hot and delish! My stuffed ravioli with sweet crab meat was 🔥🔥 super saucy and tasty!
Hubby's shrimp, fries And fried fish was also yummy.
The customer service was on point, attentive and just pleasant! Ms Cindy was a doll, from Taking our phone reservation to escorting us to our table near the fire place.
The waiters were also attentive and genuinely happy to serve you. Soo refreshing.
Can't wait to return. Great food, great vibes.
The freshest fish and seafood
We had dinner at this small restaurant, which is located inside a fish and seafood shop, separated by glass walls.
Everything was PERFECTLY fresh. Blue point oysters were a bit flavorless, the Branzino to the point. Swordfish and Stints were also VERY good. Prices reasonable, good choice of beers and wine. Not luxurious at all, but if you want exceptional seafood quality, you must visit this place.
Great seafood and nice big platters. Great flavor and good value. I had the mini seafood platter and it was plenty. My husband had crab cakes and they were perfect. Great bread, would of been better if the butter was soft. We will go back. The picture is after I started to eat.
We love this place. I usually get the combination seafood platter. It's got shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. It's always fresh and yummy. Fries we are little on the soggy side, but that might be my fault as I was late picking it up.
You must try the crab and shrimp soup. HUGE pieces of crab and very tasty. Crabs were a good size. Shrimp were good and the prices were cool. I cooked all my food myself and used their crab seasoning.
Super fresh seafood in the heart of the Italian Market. Prices are reasonable and portions are good not great. Everything tasted good. The garlic bread is very garlicky... in fact it could probably kill Dracula. If you are sensitive to garlic definitely stay away. If you love garlic then this is THE bread for you. YUM YUM YUM. The shellfish in the pescatore pasta was cooked to perfection. The grilled octopus salad is not to be missed. The octopus has a nice char and is perfectly tender and delicious. The grill seafood platter was good but nothing special. The soft shell crabs were amazing too bad only 2 came in the entree. If you are in Philly and looking for a casual seafood place with great happy hour specials this is the place for you. *** bring a sweater if you are sitting inside it is quite cold ***
Fresh terrific tasty. One of a kind seafood taste and perfection.. WILL B A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!? GREAT JOB
