The food was delicious. Prices were worth every penny for the food that I receive. I purchased the grill mix which was salmon, shrimp, scallops and a crab cake with two sides!!! Mmm mm good!! The staff was kind and caring. Sarah was very attentive and took care of me for my birthday. She made sure that our food was hot and was to our liking. Shout out to the cinnamon on my applesauce! The little things in life that make you smile. I can’t wait to go back to enjoy another meal.
Will you ever bring back your super delicious fish cakes? Loved ordering them with your equally great stewed tomatoes.
Last evening (2-24), we ordered what is the best item on the menu, bar none: your broiled flounder.
And just to add: we come all the way from Wilmington, Delaware. I am from Philadelphia, and have been coming to Gallo’s since your establishment was on Frankford Avenue.
Had a delicious dinner! A great menu to choose from! I had salmon yummy my husband had scallops very tasty! My son had combination seafood platter! All the dishes were done to perfection! Waiter was very nice and courteous!a great family place!
Good, but a bit pricey. The food was enjoyable, but a bit expensive (perhaps not for the area). Waitstaff was very busy, but quite competent and friendly. I'd go back, but not out of my way for it. 8/10
Don't come here often enough. Tonights dinner Broiled seafood combination w/red bliss potatoes cole slaw steamed mussels and carmel cheese cake. Bloody mary and iced tea.........

We stopped here for lunch after going to an exhibit. It was fairly quiet at the time, which gave us the opportunity to talk. The service is pretty good, the decor is a bit dated, but the FOOD- that was exactly what we were looking for. The fish and crab cakes are delicious (we ordered and let each other try the different dishes). I had the shrimp Mac and cheese, that was punching well above it's weight. The sharp white cheddar was perfect, and the shrimp added a nice balance. Would definitely give this place a try.
So not crowded like red lobster 🦞. Food is very good and fresh! Very affordable.

i have been going to this local resturant pretty much my entire 50 some years. Gallos has always had very good seasfood from when it was a small resturant starting out till today. The owners changed from the originals some time ago BUT the food and many of the recipies are still the same!
It can be a bit costly for the middle of the great Northeast but it has rarely disappointed ( sure ive gone so often that i had a few rare bad experiences.BUT they will always accomidate if you express the problem) They are one of the only resturants around still selling fried oysters. i try to stay away from cried food but between these and one of their very famous sides called fried eggplant! if you like these items or if you want to try for the 1sr time - i highly reccomend trying here! From the bread to the sides to the many dofferent dishes...both broiled or fried combos, to a great selection of wonderful sides ( that do come with a generouse amount with a full platter) to the best cheesecake i have ever had in my life! i say get here if you havent. But remeber it can be a little pricey if you get a full platter .yet, if your like me you will have food to take home for the next night!( i even ask for another of their very good fresh bread to take home with me too!! so highly reccommed for those looking for good seafood on the northeast! ps..they also have a burger bar in the back selling thongs like cheesesteaks to burgers n fries.Ive never went there but have many friends who have and say its also very good. even for takeout!
I gave it a four star because of the wait at the hostess desk. The early bird dinner was a great value. And each dish was good. The Pina Colada was ok it needed more flavor and real pineapple on of rim of the glass.
We found out about this place from a friend. We came last night to give it a try because we both love seafood. We both ordered twin lobster tails. It came with asparagus spears and roasted potatoes and of course bread. Our server was named Michael, he was very attentive, our food was served in a timely fashion. The lobster was delicious beyond our expectations. We would definitely go back and most likely bring friends. A gift certificate from Gallo’s would make a nice gift for someone?
We attended a funeral nearby and they recommended this restaurant. We were very pleased that they sat us away from others to allow conversation without disturbing others. The crab cakes and Mac and Cheese were very popular. Portions were plentiful and everyone enjoyed the food. To bad we live in Fl or we would frequent more often!
Just completed a lovely lunch at Gallo's with my brother Bill. What a nice day not only was the weather beautiful but I enjoyed my lunch.
I had the seafood combination that consist of shrimp, crabcakes and fish with a side of cold shaw and French fries. My brother had the seafood salad. Which he said was delicious.
Shout out to our server Brian who did a great job serving us. As a retired business teacher I always look at customer service. Brian was attentive to all of his tables. He made sure to offer a friendly goodbye to all of his customers.
Gallo's you and I both know that the server, hostess, etc. are the heart of the business. Brian shows that he cares, you should keep him around.
We celebrated my birthday and the food and service were excellent. I highly recommend the Crab Imperial.
The Food was spectacular! Had a Filet Mignon with shrimp scampi & Red homemade mash! Steak was cooked to perfection!! Shrimp were so Amazing with so much fresh garlic! My dirty martini was perfect! My boyfriend had the Chicken Parm with spaghetti & he inhaled it too! Lol The serving size was a great portion too! And our waiter Will, was very attentive & friendly! Overall, a great experience. We will definitely go back. 😊
