Enjoyed a delicious beef brisket sandwich. Just the right amount of sauce and the coleslaw and beans on the side delicious. I'ld recommend this place to anyone looking for true southern bbq. Reminds me of the brisket I got in the south.
We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and I can’t believe it took us this long to try Sweet Lucy’s. The food is AMAZING! The pulled pork has so much flavor and the sauce is perfect, so vinegary. The sides are always delicious and fresh, and the desserts are incredible and definitely large enough to be shared! Next time I have to try one of their signature cocktails. Plus, the staff is so friendly and goes out of their way to start a conversation. This will be a regular place now for us for sure!
The smoke meats are tender. The BBQ sauce is also great! Some of the sides I would recommend over others but still good. And brownie is good too! (not pictured).
If you haven't been here for BBQ you are missing out! What started out as a roadside BBQ trailer has turned into an open and expensive restaurant with a bar. The ordering is done where you walk in, there is ample seating with tables, including picnic tables. The food was awesome, the price was reasonable.
The food was the best barbecue I had in a long time. Nice quaint rustic atmosphere..... If you ever in the area, you must check it out, you will not be disappointed.
Been here 3 times. The BBQ is so good that I've been steadily working my way down their menu. Ribs and sliced beef brisket are top notch. Pulled pork and smoked wings are excellent. I'm hoping to try their smoked sausage, chicken and salmon. I'm steadily working my way down their sides menu! Great price point and excellent quality! Can't wait to visit again!
Very good bbq, if a bit pricey. The Philly beef sandwich hit just right for lunch. Beans and Mac and cheese were also good!
First time I like the beef bbq , and creamy spinach, u can place an order on a tablet , nice pub
I had a taste for bbq food a few days ago and remembered I saw this bbq spot on FYI philly and drove to phila. It was pricy. I am happy the staffer let's people know the sides were not plentiful and not made to share and she was right. Brisket was tasty but not moist. Rib bones could have more meat nut tasty. Greens average. We ordered a combo of 2 meats and 2 sides with cornbread. The honey butter made me want 🌽 bread with 🍯 butter only, very good. I'd try something different like smoked salmon. Oh it included a nice big brownie which was delish.
I have been eating here for 15 years. During this time, they have continued to improve and make positive changes to the atmosphere, seating, and the addition of beverage options, among other things. The food, however, has remained consistent. The juicy, tender, beef brisket I get today is the same I had 15 years ago. The sides are excellent, the portions are generous, and the service is prompt.
BBQ foodies will argue to the end about what BBQ should taste like. Having served on several military bases in the Southern part of the United States, which is often referred to as the home of BBQ, I would stand Sweet Lucy's up to any that I have eaten at.
absolutely changed my life one of THE best bbq places EVER!! please get the cornbread and roll with the cinnamon butter. they are both so life changing. i got the 1st pig out option and shared it with my boyfriend so it’s a perfect option to split with one person.
I called in advance and reserved seating for my group. When we arrived the tables were ready. Our waitress was great. She was informative, helpful, kind and patient. We laughed loud and enjoyed our time over some yummy food. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. It was handy that they served on to-go platters. Whatever we didn’t eat we closed up and took home. I had the baked beans, pulled pork & coleslaw and as a drink I had the dirty banana. So good!!! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good bbq and a chill environment. I will definitely come back.
