It was restaurant week and we had the option of that menu or their regular menu. We decided on the Special Menu that included appetizer, meal and dessert. We cleaned our plates, everything was delicious. The service was wonderful. We will definitely come back. Oh and we liked that there was metered parking across the street instead of having to pay $$ in a garage! I recommend.
Favorite spot to celebrate! Food - Drink-Service are A+++. Gaetano and staff make it a most enjoyable experience. Went there for NYE. It was exceptional. Not the least bit rushed or limited service like most places provide on Holidays. Location is great, parking is close by. Highly recommend.
Nice experience for a large party of 11 people. The wine selection is massive. The food was pretty good, really enjoyed the beet carpaccio and cannoli. The waiters were really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is a little cheesy with the decor. Overall a nice experience.
Quaint and homey Italian restaurant! I tried out their Nostalgia menu this month and it is a smashing hit. You can find items under $20 per dish which is great if you’re looking for a sampler menu or a 3-course meal. You’ll also be treated to a plate of bread and some lovely butter.
Their Caesar salad is phenomenal and well dressed with the best Parmesan dusting on top. Their service is quite well top notch. One thing to note is they offer sparkling, still (naturale) and regular tap water. I didn’t know and I got the still by mistake. Regardless it was delicious and freshly poured out of a new glass liter bottle.
I also ordered the homemade gnocchi and veal medallions in a lemony caper sauce. The gnocchi was delicious. It’s the softest I’ve ever had and filled with a fluffy potato filling. Might I say better than Giorgio’s?
You can ask for Parmesan and cracked black pepper which they serve table side with a very long pepper grinder! It was quite a show. I was getting stuffed after gnocchi so I wished I didn’t order Prosecco.
The lemony veal medallions were nice, very akin to pork to be honest. But I’d recommend entrees with your pasta so you can interchange protein and carbs.
I was pretty stuffed after so I didn’t grab dessert. Maybe next time!
La Famiglia deserves its excellent reputation , which has continued since 1947. They are not resting on their laurels. The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. I tried the watermelon salad ( from the specials) and the salmon and both were light and had multiple layers of flavor and were perfect. I hope to return soon with my family.
Extremely nice place with high quality service. Food was good but I thought it was slightly underwhelming considering the price point. Tiramisu was great.
Visited LA Famiglia whie on a trip to Philadelphia and I can say this may be one of the best meals I have ever had. Service was awesome and the food was the best. Class all the way around. I wish they had a place in Oklahoma City. Thank you so much
Cannot say enough positives about our experience at La famiglia! The welcoming, overall service, food, and wine selection were incredible! After helping our son move to Philly during some serious heat and time constraints, the experience at La familia was even more than welcomed and appreciated. That said, from what we observed, they give all guests supreme service and authentic Italian dishes! We will be back!!
Food was absolutely delicious! This is a very special place and everything is bursting with flavor. The portions are fairly conservative, but not entirely unexpected as flavor and the experience is generally what you'd be looking for here. Had the cannoli for dessert and would definitely recommend!
Amazing service and excellent atmosphere! We had a fun time. Gnocchi was quite scrumptious. Chicken a la Romano was very good. Veal was quite bland though. Portions were very small. Food was brought out extremely quickly, which we actually didn’t like. Felt rushed. Bread also tasted just ok. Everyone else seems to rave about the food here but IDK, we didn’t love it.
I don't write many reviews but felt I HAD to for La Famiglia. From start to finish a truly special dining experience where you walk out with a huge smile on your face. The waitstaff, Sommeliers, bussers, and bartenders are of Michelin grade. Their wine list is legendary where you can find anything from a recent vintage to a 1960s bottle of wine. Food is impeccable, with a blend of modern and traditional dishes, rich with flavor. After a meal here you feel like you're apart of the family. The crew have worked together, some more than 20+ years. Such a fantastic experience, what a class act. A+ La Famiglia.
The atmosphere is great.
Service is wonderful and even more.
Food is amazing, and you can taste that it is made on the spot.
Menu is very interesting and they have a very impressive wine cellar.
Prices are reasonable for the quality you get.
To summarize - great experience and very recommended!
