Great food!. This was our first time eating Nicaraguan food and it was absolutely delicious! Our server, Lorena, was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us. The churrasco and pork loin were tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked! We will be back for more! :-)
Small place with great food, seating was okay, food was excellent, the service could use some improvement.
We had to go to the cashier to pay our bill and then they came out to charge, the wait time to be served was a bit long but the quality of food compensated the wait time.
Hopefully in our next visit, the customer service can be more attentive to us as we are the customers and keep the business running.
Definitely will come back and hoping for a better experience with customer service!
First time visiting, and I can safely say that food quality was great. I had the churrasco with gallo pinto and maduros. It also came with cabbage salad. Our party was given chips with frijoles y queso, which were also pretty good. The cacao was of pretty good quality. I wish the prices were listed on the menu, but that's about it. The staff was pretty attentive. We went on a Sunday close to 4pm. Will definitely be coming back.
It is delicious food. The reason I can not give it 5 stars is because it is very pricey. Instead of coming often I only come once every 6 months or so just to satisfy the urge. Service is fantastic when I went. Food came out quickly. Neat was tender and well seasoned. We ordered the two person parilla and could not finish it. Excellent 👌
Are super super super great service. Love the food love the steak and the rice and beans are my favorite dish. Thank you so much for bringing Nicaraguan food to South Florida. We are proud of having this restaurant nearby. You guys are the best.
I really enjoyed carne asada and sopa de cola.
What a delicious food and nice service.
Ask for crab soup, shrimp or beef. Don't forget "gallo pinto". Plenty variety of plates and flavors for you to choose from. Service from staff will make you feel like you are a high class customer. Such a great culinary experience!. No doubt: I'm coming back.
Absolutely love this establishment. Very well seasoned, tasteful food. Super kind staff. Great price for the quantity and quality!!!! I didn't know Nicaraguan food was soooooo awesome!!!!
A friend of mine brought me here and the food was great. A few weeks later I brought my Colombian wife, the food was excellent the service is great, the best home cooked meal I’ve had in a while.
I came to have lunch with a colleague of mine who highly recommended this restaurant because he is from Nicaragua 🇳🇮. I had the Antojito Casero (yuca, pork rinds, ground sausage, fried cheese, and cabbage salad. The meal was quite tasty although the pork rinds didn't seem too fresh. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful although it took a while to serve the meals. I found the beverages a bit pricey: $2+ for a bottle of water. Overall, it's a nice little restaurant down the street from Broward College South Campus. I'll definitely be back!
For the same price and larger portions try Pinolandia without a doubt. However if you want to sit down or take mom to a familiar lunch spot, hormiga de oro feels like the cafe your tia works at and she always treats you real nice while you're there. The juices and cacao taste fresh and you can buy them by the gallon.
