Toro Sushi is the #Bomb!!!
It's hard not to notice the new sushi restaraunt on the block as I pass by daily on my way to work. My wife and I decided to stop by last Friday night and give the new kid a try. The ambiance is hip but not pretentious. There was a short wait so we headed to the bar which looks absolutely amazing and they have a great beer selection on tap including one of my favs, Firestone Union Jack IPA. We started with the Ceviche appetizer and it was incredible, wish it was a little bigger as we wolfed it down in seconds. We ordered several of the rolls and the Super Diablo was definately our fave. Our Ono Sashimi Carpaccio plate was large and fresh. Seems like it would be a great place for happy hour or for a party. Great service, super fresh fish, with a nice new atmosphere. Will definately go back and bring friends.
Dog-friendly patios always score an A+ in my books, but the decor is lacking on the inside which doesn't give a welcoming environment. The specialty rolls are great especially the Green Bay. As for appetizers, the ceviche with the spicy yuzu sauce is a standout!
This location has had a large turnover as it has been 3 different restaurants in3 years.
Toro is the best of the three.
The lunch menu is especially a good deal, as you get an entire meal for under $10. There is also a dinner happy hour which has a large selection and is certainly worth checking out.
Very lovely restaurant with clean design. The bar is fabulous to look at. Tvs to watch the game. A great selection of new and artistic rolls never seen elsewhere. The gyozas were amazing. Best we've ever had
